not yet, 19% contained, 5000+ acres burned locally and no rain. it is moving north west now (we're south west), and while i pray for those in the way, i'm glad it is (for the moment) moving away and not getting closer...

Let's hope the weather doesn't turn it back around on us. They just downgraded the air alert to orange yesterday but now we're in a red flag warning (critical fire conditions--low relative humidity, warmer temps) till 8 tonight..I just read they're calling for winds 20 mph with up to 40 mph gusts through tomorrow from the system about to come through.
Makes me nervous..

Thanks brother! Cat is right about the NW thing, as long as the winds don't shift, we should be okay. That's not to say anything for the folks on the other end of it though..hopefully we'll get some rain in the forecast before long to help get it under control.

What I find scary is that here we are in mid November and people are STILL getting evacuated due to wildfire danger.

it is some scary shit brother. The climate is definitely shifting, it was bound to happen sooner or later. I'd just like to take a hammer to the fools that started this crap.
