Yeah acutally it does help and its called sparkling water... You get a sprayer and spray your plants before you put them on the dark cycle... Only spray the fan leaves don't actually water them with the sparkling water. They provide the plants with Co2. Peace

I read that if you're going to spray (anything) on the leaves it shudd be done AFTER the dark cycle because thats when the leaves pores are open. I'm not saying it as fact, but that is what I read somewhere.

according to the article above, they watered the soil with c02 water, they didn't spray.

I have heard of spraying the leaves with co2 water and everything has said it works well. I am in the process of trying to get some, your saying the name is sparkling water-? sounds good- But has anyone tried it to good or bad results?

Im using it right now and i don't know what to make of it just yet. I want to test the ph of the carbonated water so it matches my reservoir. but ii dont have a tester just yet.

I was using it and it burned the tips of my leafs. made them look white. So what I did was mad an aluminum foil neck brace for my sprout (its still in rockwool). And I put mylar tape on the inside so it reflects extra light and i spray the carbonated water on the brace and evaporation gets carbon to my plants. Btw this is just for a short while lol.

I might have a little personal trick for this one.. :) http://www.sodastreamusa.com/store.aspx its a little machine that lets you mix water and co2 BEFORE putting in the mix to make sodas.. so you can use good filtered water that your plants will like AND add co2 to it so you dont have any additive that might have commercial sparkling water and you get a good and simple way to add a little extra co2 for cheap

Has anyone tried filtering tap water then adding dry ice to the filtered water? I'm certain this will carbonate the water and solve any EC problems. The question is at what ratio do you apply dry ice to water. Secondly, this would have to be used as a foliar spray and applied during the day when the stomates are open because photosynthesis is occurring. CO2 drives the photosynthesis chemical equation. Respiration is the reverse of photosynthesis. If it were applied at night when the stomates are closed it would not contribute to photosynthesis nor respiration. It'd be a waste applied at night.
