The Can Is A True Filter, The Sock Is Not A True Carbon Filter. Ask Your Hdyro Store. Those Socks You Have To Wash Once Month And There Not That Good. Get The Can.

I cant tell, but it looks like you will have to hook your own fan on the odor socks. And the disadvantage to them is that you cant refill the, but they are cheaper. Is that right?

i use an odor sock (actualy have three ) 2- 6 inch and 1- 4 inch they work fine i use one on flowering and one on veg and my buddy uses one on flower. no smell. thet are supposed to last for 1 year before you need to recharge them. to recharge them yopu just throw them in the drier. they are guaranteed for life, never buy another one and never buy more activated carbon

Bonz I looked on the website, as well as other websites. But I dont see anywhere where it mentions that its guaranteed for life, and just to reactivate it. If thats true, thats a great deal. 50 bucks for a filter for life that doesnt need changing?

i am going to my store today or tommorow and will get the panphlet again and post it for ya to read. i`m sure the can filters are better but for me i have a hard time to find activated carbon in bc. and when i did it was 10 per pound. i made one myself, the design i used said it would last 18 months and it only lasted 1 month and he said would only cost 50 buck. mine cost 100 bucks thats why i chose the sock. mine has been going for 1 month veg and so far 35 days flower and is fine. you do need to watch the cfm of them or ot will blow through.

I have both an odor sok and a can filter. I bought the odor sok first, before i was getting serious. I have my room vented out a basement window by my front door. And once flower power time came there was most definitely odor coming out of the room. It was a little different though, had a high sweet smell of marijuana, not the deep skunky one. It did eliminate ALOT, just not enough. I bought the can filter 33 and it did a MUCH better job. I now use the odor sok just for my veg chamber, it handles that well. But for flowering, go with a can filter. JMO

thats why i say watch the cfm on the filter. i`m sure if you had alot of plants in the room it would make a difference. i have 8 quite smelly chemos right now ( so far it`s ok)

I know it's an old thread but is anyone still using these odorsoks still? Can they be filled with activated carbon between the carbon mesh and the outer sock? Can a carbon activated prefilter be placed between the inner mesh and outer sock to make them reusable over time?
