carbon dioxide CO2 air

as we all know plants need water, fertilizer, light and CO2, but nobody ever talks about CO2. its pretty clear that more CO2 = more growth, but just wondering what is the toxicity of CO2 in plants and the best way to produce it.

i was thinking of fermentation in 2L pop bottles, u know sugar water and yeast, it works except u need to bubble air through the bottom to displace the CO2 and replace the O2 so the yeast can keep growing, or else u just get carbonated water.

another way is candles, very dangerous and can light a fire then ur busted (for those reading this that doesnt have a permit). i was thinking of a sealed grow room or growbox with a fan exaust and another fan for intake, have a few candles outside the room or box near the intake vent so the conbustion products can enter (H2O and CO2). i was thinking of a kerosine lamp device which contains the flame so there is little chance of stuff catching on fire.

dryice is hard to get, u need to purchase it from a chemical warehouse and ID is required, good luck to anyone willing to go this method.

compressed CO2 is expensive, cost me 7$ for a 9 oz tank for playing paintball, i might resort to this since i know the volume of gas when i release it (into a balloon) and guestimate the volume of air in the room then calculate the concentration.

so does anyone know the best concentration of CO2 for growing and the toxicity of CO2 on plants?
