I ordered a 4in carbon filter with the inline fan from vivosun when I got it it was leaking charcoal dust all over I assumed it wasn't put together right so I got a replacement the replacement came and a little bit charcoal leaks out not as much as the first one but i still get some on my hands is this normal my first one was the ipower galvanex and it didn't do that I was just wondering if anybody else got intake fans and carbon filters that leak a little bit of charcoal and it was all right

My charcoal filter is pushing charcoal into my roof space everywhere does anyone know the reason why this is ? Is my fan up to high?

I do not know why however this strikes me as a potential fire hazard if the qty builds up. I have run major vapor phase GAC systems for environmental remediation and if they get hot they can internally combust and attics can get toasty. I do not want to be an alarmist but you may want to think about it or research it…I mean there may not be enough qty buildup to matter but I know for a fact it can happen in a vessel.
