Can't quite get it all the way dry..

Having issues with drying my second plant. They are 95% dry, just can't get it to turn that corner. Any suggestions? I currently have them on a tray in an oven that is OFF, with the oven door open a bit with a fan pointed at them from across the room.

Oh yes I have cats so I cannot leave the whole thing just lying around out in the open. One of the cats is a kitten and she can get under the doors. Trailer for you.

Fuck quick drying it. Just torch the shit. I trimmed a bud off my plant yesterday chopped it up let it sit for a little while, then burned it. I was buzzed for a few good hours.


A actual suggestion though. Dry it normally, then cure it.

How long have you been drying?
What temp and RH?

Why is your plant 95% dry? Normally when you dry bud you don't want to dry it down to more than 30% RH so you can cure it and thereby reduce the RH further.
You don't want to remove all the moisture from the bud, just the vast majority.

I do not have all those fancy gizmos of measurement. I had a little bit of mold on my first plant, found it when I was curing, just a tad. So I guess I'm a little worried about my 2nd plant doing the same. Well I guess temp would be 65 -70? I've been drying for 6 days now. I did the paper bag method this year. I hung them last year and they dried in 3 days. Swiss Cheese is good weed. and NL, too.

what I do when I want to dry a smaller amount of bud is to use a cardboard box. The cardboard acts like a desiccant and helps draw the moister out of the plant. That is what I use when I discover that I jarred my plants too early and they still have moisture. Spread your buds out evenly on a cardboard surface and a few hours later your ready.

I'm afraid it's a lot harder to dry and cure properly without problems if you don't have any hygrometer or the like, especially if you are new to growing.
Do you have any ventilation for the room you are drying in?
Ventilation is a _must_.
Relative humidity will creep upwards without some form of airflow and will cause mold.
Temperature is alright at those ranges but it's guesswork.

I had lots of airflow. Not sure what RH was though. They are both curing right now, no mold since. There was what I believe was a spider web, didn't look like the mold I found before, so I think I'm good, thanks.
