Can't get my heat dropped anymore!

this will draw air in from the passive ducts, thru the light, then out the tent, cooling the grow area and the light.

in order to do it the way you had it, you would need an additional fan just suking air out of the tent from the top.

Woah I think you took what I said differently, I already am drawing air from the grow room, through the intake port , out the exhaust port, up my duct and through my exhaust fan and out the cieling. Get it?

Nope, only one, the hood has an intake and an exhaust port. I am drawing air from the grow room into the light from the intake port, its getting sucked through the light out of the exhaust port into the vent, out the exhaust fan and into the cieling, I wish I could draw you a picture. sadface

you should use a 90 degree elbow on the hood so that the flex tube doesnt bend like that you are losing a lot of flow that way. also a vent grate in your door might help with airflow just light proof it with some panda film on the inside

just from looking at your pic, it looks like the light intake is very close to the grow room wall, so i thought it was going to the outside.

Nope, As I said only passive intake I have is at the bottom of my door. it is 2 feet wide and 2 inches high.

@Jdm I will consider that ty for the tip.

I've gotten all my help from Rollitup to pull of a grow in another room until the wife wanted more space for shoes. So I downsized closets and have a 2x3x8 grow room with a 400w air cooled hood, 200 cfm 4 inch vortex, proper ducting and breeze, but when I tested my temps it was staying at 90! It's almost on the verge of being exactly enough, but I ran out of resources to drop it to at least 85 in the day. Anyone have any suggestions?

In the bottom picture, which would be the right side of the light with the duct tape, where does that suk from, looks like theu the wall to the outside of the grow area.

Well, lets speak hypothetically here, The dude at the hydroponic shop told me not to cap my intake, but I feel as if that is defeating the whole air cooled hood part, it's letting the hot air escape and I thought that was a bad thing. Now if I cap that off and all the heat stays inside the hood, wouldn't that drop my temps?
