can't even move my body after last nights mission

hauled around 400lbs of bales of soil bout 1000 yards to my spot from 1am-6am
this morning and my body feels like its about to crumble.. I had a scare after everything was done and
finished mixing up the soil in my smart pots, was about an 100 acre property that I went to that had a bunch
of woods and nice brush to hide in with a large empty field in the middle of it.. So as I finished up filling
each pot there was a large dog barking at the corner for like 10 minutes straight of the field before the woods s
tarted about 50yrds away, was around 5am and i'm guessing the owner just lets their dogs out in the morning and
roam around and? happened to smell the soils and me and also heard me all the way out there so thank god I was done
I grabbed everything and ran out of there leaving a few empy bags of soil behind (i know...) but I didn't hear any voices
or anything. Im kinda spooked about going back there... it could of been two things that happened,
1.) property owner took an early walk around at 5am (wtf?), heard somebody fiddling with bags in the woods, grabbed a dog, came back and didn't make an effort to find out who it was, and to not say anything or yell something like.. whos that?!
2.) owners let the dogs out and they heard and smelled me so the dog stayed at the edge of the woods and continued barking, don't know why the dog wouldnt have came in to the woods to investgate being that I was only 50 yrs away ?

I guess ill make an effort in a few days or next weekend to go check out the spot again and see if someone saw all my shit and if they ruined all my pots..
only thing spooky is that damn dog and idk wtf it was doing out at 5am and wether it was with an owner or not...

is this spot compromised?

i have 4 dogs and they have no set schedule. 5 am pee pees are very common for both my dogs and myself lol maybe the owner woke up for work like alot of guys do at 5am and put his dog out to do his thing. dont barrow worry but keep an eye open

what are you doing on others property?
second, it would seem that in the 100 acres your by or at least near a house/shack, so probablynot a good spot.

Your spot sounds bad, 100 acres and your next to a clearing in the woods? Like were hunters hunt. Only you know what going on and if its a good spot. Put up a trail camer by your grow, see who pass by.

Dude, this is a terrible, terrible idea. It sounds like something I did frequently when I was in high school.

Be careful, don't get your ass filled up with buck-shot by an angry ass property owner. If I saw somebody snooping through the woods around my house, I would feel extremely threatened. Especially if it was in the middle of the god damn night!!

I agree, even if they don't see you, 400 lbs of good soil is going to produce quite the smell late in the season. Sounds like a terrible spot to me. If you're already paranoid and you don't even have anything growing yet, imagine how you'll feel in September... added stress about it will lead to unsound decisions and most likely being caught, or chopping prematurely and wasting an awful lot of hard work.

That being said, it's your future bud. If you feel it's still a good spot, good luck this year.

You are trying to grow on 100 acres (100's of 1,000's of square feet); and the only spot you could find was barely in the treeline and a stone's throw from the house? How much planning did you do here? You had over a million square feet to choose from, why there?

Ironic, a few weeks ago, right as the sun was going down, I looked out the sunlight window in my front door to see if my beaver family was out and about yet. Sure enough, the two adults were sitting on the bank nearest my house, grazing. Looked around to see where the babies were, and lo and behold what did I see instead? Some idiot creeping through my front yard with a shotgun tucked under his shoulder getting ready to shoot my beavers. I ran out of the house, he ran and jumped on his 4-wheeler and got on down the road. The very next day I picked up....

signs and planted them around my land. Next time, I won't hesitate, I see someone on my land I will be placing a call to the police and to the game warden.

On a side note...

If my dog barks, I know someone is out there. They may be walking down the street, but the only time my dog barks is if someone is near. She didn't bark with the hunter, I just got lucky and looked out at the right time. But if she is barking, it is because someone it near that she doesn't think should be. I would seriously consider finding a new spot.

the spot isn't as bad as it sounds.. and the house isn't even that close, theres a huge hill that you have to go over to get there anyway. plus im on the corner of their land so
if they were to go about daily routine of their property they wouldnt be bothering with the piece of woods Im in. Theres 6 20gal smart pots filled out there, how far you
think smell will travel during flowering considering good sized plants maybe 5-8oz each?

When you go back it's important that you look like your doing something, other than planting MJ. Take binoculars, water flask, rucksack, books (knowledge about the local area) and wear green casual outdoor clothes. You meet someone, well you're just an outdoor enthusiast ect.

Now when you make your way to your spot do you come through their land? Try not to, swing around the back into your corner would be best.

1000 yards away with 40+ oz's in full flower and right direction of wind, I recon you'd be smelling it quite easily. But then again, I haven't experienced 40 oz's blowing in the wind 1000 yards away so my answer is not the truth, just a rational idea.

Is that pic for your avatar the last grow you done, in the same area?

Also try using Google Earth to see anything you might of missed.

My question is if you're here now complaining about dragging 400 lbs of soil. How are you gonna feel when your dragging a pound or two of weed? I can just see you carrying your trees of weed back to your car. lol. Good luck man, sounds like your a little paranoid / new to "guerrila growing"

I took my dogs leash and had a plan if I ran into someone, but I didn't. everything was in the same place as I left it, few bags layed around and
such.. so I took all the trash and stuff out in a trash bag and left the 6 20gal pots. Lets see what this season is gonna bring ! by the way thats my 3rd
spot. Im doing 15 this season

40+ oz in full bloom will travel far in the wind, especially if you pick a strong strain as most tend to do. Also, from what I've noticed with mine, smartpots need far more watering than plastic pots, and certainly a whole bunch more than plants that are in the ground. If they're not in your own back yard with daily or every other day access for watering, you'll be making a shitload of trips to keep your ladies watered. This will in turn lead to some dead plants if you miss a few days, or enough hanging out on this dude's property to get caught.

If you're still dead set on this spot as being your prime location, I'd advise first off to brush up on the guerilla gardening section to learn some stealthy habits, then I'd go read it all over again to see what you missed the first time. THEN, I'd reccomend putting your plants into the ground so you'll have far less trips to this location.
