Can't decide on Lighting option to go with..

So I decided to purchase some better lighting and I can't decide on what to go with.

My first choice would be this:

but it looks like it has some pretty shitty directions on putting it together, and i have no electrical wiring knowledge so that seems sketchy lol.

My second choice is between these two:

This looks nice but I'm unsure about the optional timers you can buy with it.. I already have a timer but do only these timers work with this grow light? Or will the one I already have work?

This also looks pretty nice and is pretty cheap.

My last choice (due to pricing and possibly of excessive heat):

This would be really diving deep into nice lighting imo and current situation. lol. I do like that it can do both MH and HPS though.. I like that alot :)))

OK well your first choice is a kit...you'd still need the hood. Of your second choices, the T5 fluorescents will work on your timer and would be good for vegging. The 150W HPS is going to give you small fluffy buds. Your last choice would give the biggest bang for the buck.

Damn see without your help my dumbass would've bought the first choice without the hood lmao I'm a newb lol.. gonna go with either the T5 fluorescents or the digital MH/HPS ballast (depending on how much money i get from friends and family on my birthday lmao im broke at the moment). But if I can get the money I will definitely invest in the last choice then. Thanks mate!! (I'm just a hip american saying mate im not australian lol)

"small fluffy buds" just sounds shitty to me so I'll do better with the lighting !! (:

MH for Veg and HPS for flower but if you can't afford both just go the HPS and will do the full grow more power fatter tighter buds enjoy!

Get the T5 2 foot long and another...they are weak in lumens and the hps you choose is too weak, got the 400w for grunt

check out ebay for a " apollo 400w hps cooltube "
its about 120 shipped and has the ballast, hood , bulb , hanger everything you need but ducting and a fan and its dim-able
mine is close to 1.5 years old and still kicking
i grow auto's most of the time BTW so its clocked some hours

I like this idea. Think I very well may go with it. Does T5 support cool and bright lights?

how big an area and how many plants do you anticipate flowering. I like standard 4 ft. fluorescents for vegging and 600 hps for flowering. I think t-5s throw too much heat for vegging and too little light for flowering.

height restriction in room, small area maybe 6x6 not sure tbh lol. damn I didnt think fluorescents could put out that much heat.. and they're too weak for flowering damn you just killed my vibe lol

Then get the one 2ft T5, with th view to getting the second on testing the area

If you have good ventilation/fan 400w hps and do your cloning and vegging somewhere else. That way you'll have a perpetual harvest.
