Can't Decide On A Logo

there are screenshots of the software on the website. it's open source hardware, meaning it works with different types of hardware, and the plans to build it yourself will be posted on the site. I'm mostly focusing on the arduino because it's easy to learn. you build a controller box which plugs into either usb or ethernet, then you have outlet boxes with relays built in which plug into the controller with rca patch cables. I have my 3rd grow running this software right now, tomatoes and hot peppers. I've only been sending it to beta testers, but I'm finishing up a free version that will be released to the public next month.

I think I need a really awesome logo, but I can't think of what it might look like.

put my vote in I really like the ones with leaf above the logo with the 10001010101010101 in it, looks real professional and just seems clever to me

Just out of curiosity, were the images all created by you? I only ask because if you took for example the computer monitor from Google Images or something, you can immediately be sued. All images have to be 100% made by the person using it for business even if the image was not posted as copy written. As soon as the image goes live online it becomes property of the uploader, not to say the uploader will ever see it, but if the business ever gets real attention & you plan to use the logo forever, like most businesses, then someone will notice it. You know? I only ask because I have taken computer graphic courses & submitted logos to contests on Worth1000.com & I know both my instructor & Wroth1000 strongly express how any images used must be created by us or given permission to use, other wise the project you submit will not be graded or Worth1000 will disqualify you.

Just something to think about, don't want you getting in trouble, that can suck major ass being in court over some dumb shit.

I pick this one aside from the font color being a bit much on the eyes being that it kinda blends into the green background a little bit... But aside from that i agree this one looks the most professional.

Hmm what about like a remote control like they use with RC cars or something being incorporated in your designs? That would be cool I think.

thanks for your concern. graphics isn't one of the things I'm good at, so I'm having a company do the logo for me. I'll double check with them to be sure nothing's copy righted.

thought about it, but it's not something I would want to use in my own garden. it's an extra point of failure, and could hurt reliability. BUT.. there are kits for around $25 for both the transmitter and receiver, so I probably will order it once it's in stock again, and post plans for it on the site.

I just meant like in the design LOL but that would actually be really cool to have a physical remote like that haha. I'd crank the grow faster button all the time

lol. what I meant was having a usb transmitter box, then a receiver box that the outlet boxes would plug into. but I do plan on having support for any ir remote too. say you're changing the res. pick up a remote and press a button to turn on a draining pump. use the same remote to turn on a fresh water hose to fill it back up. wow, that sounds like it would be awesome to use.

no one has mentioned this so i will. this is intended to be helpful. the slogan is great but the word "its" should not have an apostrophe. the apostrophe in this case would make the word a contraction of "it" and "is", which wouldn't fit. you may also want to capitalize the letter b in the word best. i wouldn't normally bother to correct grammar but it counts on a logo. i voted for my favorite.
