I wouldn't go past 12" under a 250 personally. Most I know don't exceed 18-24 inches before flipping the switch to bloom unless they're running multiple 1kw lights. Artificial light doesn't have the penetration the sun does sou you need to use every meter strategically to achieve Max potential. Check out low sstress training and there's a great thread here called mainlining. They should give u great ideas on how to utilize space. Anyway... under a 250 I would flower no later than 12 and that's gonna be pushing it without bushmasters IMO.. hopefully more will chime in with their opinion. I'm merely one

I keep my 250 at 4" and have amazing results. It just really all depends on your ventilation man, I have mine is a cool tube with my inline fan and can keep it at 4" with no problems.

You gotta remember that the 250 doesn't have the light penetration that a 400,600, or a 1000w have so you want to keep a nice even canopy and as close as you can get it.

Yeah, thanx fellas. I always adjust the hid's colser or further when I read the leaves but, with the utmost due respect, my question was HOW CLOSE TO THE CANOPY SHOULD MY 90w UFO's BE? I appreciate the feedback.

With those 90w ufo's your gonna want to keep them close as possible as they will cause tremendous stretch.

Oh damn sorry man. Misread that. U should be able to keep them 6-12 inches from the canopy without any issue. As close as possible without damage
