depends how much we are working with but we run ours once through a four piece grinder, collect the kief from the bottom of he grinder to make hash. then we throw the fine chop weed in to the "fat stage" of the cooking process (the melting of the butter in this case). adding it during the fat stage is the only crucial part as i understand.

hey all, sorry about not getting back quicker but went on a little trip...
ok, so i said i'd try making some buter with stuff i've reently harvested so it was still wet. This was to see if it would work with wet green...
so i chopped it up as fine as i could (It's a bitch doing it wet!) and chucked it into my simmering butterwater mix.
let it simmer for about 5 hours then poured through a strainer and chilled.
It looks and smells just like the butter and lovely cookies i've made previously with dry stuff.
I;m about to have some with scrambled eggs now so i'll let you know how it goes in terms of potency but if alls good on the taste/high front the only prob i got is choppin it wet.

here's a few pic's

yeh when i use dry stuff it's normally a little greener but that potent smell is definately there, it wasn't the tip top bud either.

i used a 50/50 ratio at the start and just added little bits of water as it evaporated throughout the process.

used all female parts, didn't have any males but wouldn't use if i did. leaves, some stems and some of the smaller buds i got off the lower parts of my plant.
like i said wasn't the best stuff but a couple of cones gets a nice buzz going...
