at each node is a bud site (where the leaf stem meets the main stem) if given the time and the light to catch up to the main cola there will be multiply colas.. couple ways to do this.. think of a jewish menorah.. ;o) takes more time to in veg I'm sure.. but done right it might work out out quite well.. something you could easily do with multiple rooms...

And funny you ask.. i did try.. it hasn't died yet.. it's still pretty green.. i'll try and get pictures.. i topped the tall lanky plant also lower so i had a bigger stem to try and clone.. both are doing fine if green means good.. ;o) i'm keeping them domed, moist and humid.. adn so far so good.. The end of this week I'm putting the vegetables outside.. i'm just debating on whether to put a chicken wire fence around it or make a cheap plastic green house.. i have plenty of scrap wood.. it wouldnt have to be really tall.. tomaotos are the only ones the will grow high at all.. aside from the fact that im gonna try and grow the cucs up tomato cages and an expderiement.. and loosely zip tie or some how fasten the cuc to the cage to hold the weight.. we will see.. maybe some small wooden plat forms.. hmmm.. ANY SUGESTIONS WOULD BE GREAT..

But i'm excited to put just the pot plants under the lights.. i replaced the 2 warm white 800 lumen spiral bulbs with 2 1600 lumen 2700k spiral bulbs i seen when i was grocery shoping..
So that is 800 more lumens Plus it's 2700K.. 6000 Lumens/6500K + 3200 Lumens/2700K
I wanted more blue spectrum instead of these red 2700K but they were 10 bucks for these and i figured they would come in handy if I flower clones to find a good female.. and they didnt have and 1600 lumen in any other spectrum so i will check somewhere else.. or i may pick up another 24w HO that i have.. 29.99 here at a local shop.. maybe get a deal for 2.. we will see how the money is... My buddy suposedly has a green crack seed for me.. so if i get that i may pop it after the vegatables go out.. and then kill off the shitty SSH's....

with that much red spectrum.. i should may see some pre flowers before i can even get clones from all of them.. i also have a 4 foot 2 bulb fixture with 2 40watt wide spectrum gro lux 1700 lumen blubs i may throw in there when it gets closer to cloning for sex.. i have to move the 5 mothers to a spot to keep them alive and well for a month or so.. not sure if i want to flower the clones completely.. we will see how the start..

So FIM does the same thing as topping? Is it less stressful on the plant or something?

I think fim'ing is supose to get 2 more nodes.. but i'm not totally sure.. basically the same thing just different technic i guess.. both tops are still ok from a visual point of view.. I took a couple cutting from my mothers garden to see if i can clone them... all under a dome like clear container.. all hopeful clones are kept moist and very humid..

tomorrow the vegetables go outside.. 10000 lumens in that 2 3/4 x 3 3/4 x 3... starting to think id be alright budding in there.. i will probly move the mothers under something to keep the alive when im ready..

I found 2700k and 6500k CFL's 42 watt 2600 lumen i belive.. not bad priced.. I will add a couple of those when it's time to flower..

here are some pics.. first one is my first topping.. the 2 nodes are forming nicely.. Anyone have any input on the purple/redish colour?? I seen it on the clones i had last year it had.. i read maybe a couple deficencies and also strain related.. which i think it might be.. or maybe my nights are dropping to a low temp.. I'm pretty sure it isn't too low..

second plant i topped a bit high and chopping it to see what would happen.. the nodes are coming in nicely.. but i was hoping for something from the split.. but nothing yet..

third is just growing nicely..

foruth is the fimmed plant.. it is like topping but you dont stop the top growth completely it starts back out again.. unless i didn't do it right.. the close ups are of the fimmed new growth..

fifth is the monster.. but I think it has reached it's max hight it that pot.. we will see... It's starting to branch out.. Soon as I can, I will be cloning for sex... I'm hoping atleast one of the 2 tops root so i dont have to worry about getting clones from those plants....

Well they are getting pretty bushy.. It's getting tight with the tights i have.. I think they slowed down a bit.. but we will see.. I maybe flip them soon.. I was going to clone for sex and keep the 2 best mothers.. BUT since they are suposed to be shitty genetics I'm just going to practice cloning and if/when the root i'm going to flower them all.. this is an experiement after all.. I have a couple different pot sizes and soil mix's.. so i'm interested to see what happens... it says 8 weeks flowering on all strains but i don't know about SSH what do you guys think??
I wanted to put 2-3 of the 5 outside for the season and flower the last 2 inside so it will turn out better.... but i have my dark cycle set for 12 noon-6pm... due to the weather temps dropping too low at night when i started to have the lights off.. and I'm afraid they will die from the stress or herm/male for sure.. what do you think???
regardless i hope for some males so i can throw them out and not think twice.. probly just put them outside to see what happens..

I will get pictures up soon.. If i had a more permanent spot i might keep a couple clones for mothers.. but i may not even be here long enough to finish flowering.. not sure whats going on yet..

hey man your plants seem ok, i been groing 10 years + i brought some from them . they are only $20 as its a special the fem ones are like $150 and the others are like $50 - $80 for 10 beans. so they are not cheap shitty seeds, he breeds his own and therefore can sell them with a huge discount. i got a 12 pack of big bud #19 on baggie. only got 11 seeds looks like the 12th was half broken half missing?. i haven't started them yet as i have around 6 different strains on the go at the moment. keep us posted with how your flowers turn out. i'm really curious. ill post once i start mine. for 20 bucks what can u expect ? i reckon its a wiked deal! prob wouldn't buy from them if they were not on special. would go with a company that stocks dutch strains.

yeah sorry for the lack of an update.. they are bushing like crazy.. I wish i had more light at this point.. but heat is a bit of an issue on hot days.. I've been topping quite a bit.. trying to just bush them up to all hell...

I repotted one which is taking off.. well i also put in the 2 4' grolux wide spectrum bulbs on that side of the closet.. so she's getting quite abit of light over the whole spectrum... and i think i'm starting to see preflowers.. barely and I cant tell what it is yet.. supposed to be fem'd.. but we will see..
I'm repotting the rest tonight shortly after the lights come back on..

Like an excited newb I over ferted and had to flush.. lost a bit of grow time.. but they are looking pretty nice now.. some better then others.. but all should be rocking after i put them in the new pots.. and i may flower in a couple weeks.. we will see.. when i can buy a couple more decent lights so i actually get something decent.. and I can rule out lighting when it comes to whether its a shitty flowering strain.. theres about 11800 lumens in there now all very close.. 6000 x 6500k full spectrum, 3400 x grolux wide spectrum, 2400 x 2700k... So i think theres a decent amount of light.. I'm might cut down to the best 3 when im about to flower.. AND I'm hoping i can buy 1-2 more T5 full spectrums... 29.99.. and maybe another Y with more 2700K bulbs..

also.. all my cloning attempts have failed.. i may try and build a cloner.. but the funds aren't there yet.. we'll see..

I'm using stim-root #3 with 0.8% IBA by plant prod which is for hard wood and its from last year.. SO i went out and got stim-root #1 with 0.1% IBA AND some wilsons with fungiside, 0.4% IBA.. now we will see how these work.. and i will be trying my peat pucks this time insead small starter spots with soil.. also I may try to put in the heating pad to give the roots some warmth... same type of method that I used for germination...

I remembered the camera but didn' remember to take pictures when i was transplanting.. and now i have it all setup nicely so i'm not moving it now.. i may take a shot of the garden.. and tomorrow i'll take more pics..

ALSO one clone that i put into the peat puck has sprouted 3 little 3 mm roots.. i pulled it out thinking it was another dude.. it really does help to take the cuttings from the lowest node.. I gave the rest the tug test and they are pretty solid and still green.. i'm thinking they all took..

I also soaked up 6 more pucks and took 6 more cuttings from 3 other plants to see if they take.. I dont need to clone for sex anymore since i think I will see pre flowers before i flower.. they are all pretty much mature alternating nodes..
besides i may just sell off a the first batch of clones to friends for 5 bucks each.. make the cash for a couple more lights..

QUESTION**********************

if you have a choice between a 2' T5 full spectrum 2000 lumens OR 3-4 2700k spiral bulbs 1600 lumens each (4800-6400 lumens)... hmmm i think i might have answered my own questions...

probly the 2700k since i'll be flowering when i get them

here are a couple of quick shots..

my five babies after much trimming and topping... quite big for 7 weeks from seeds sprout.. and they spent their seedling time with the veggies which are doing pretty good.. except a local cat dug up the watermelons.. jerk.. tomatos are great.. cucs too. broccolli are slow.. and one is broken also.. i just left it to see how it goes about it's situation..

after they were alone under the lights they took off (except when i over ferted in excitement of their exploding growth)... and with 3400 more wide spectrum lumens they should go pretty nice over the next 2-3 weeks.. they seem to be loving the new pots and soil mix... they werent totally root bound but they were dieing for more room..

scotts potting soil .07 -.01 - .03.. and i added a 9L back of perlite to 2 bags of dirt with a half of the other soil.. worked out pretty good..

still torn between flowering soon or continue cloning and make a couple bucks first..

I'm not trying to rehash anything but i found this post by googling "CANNABISSEEDS.com scam" i was searching that because i did get scammed by them and in my opinion if i where trying to run a shady seed website i think the most logical thing to keep the scam going would be to periodicaly send seeds so that they get mixed reviews and not all bad ones. btw your plants look awsome. i certanly hope they dont end up lookin like that otehr guys, you know the one you flamed (dont take it so personal) but i have to say fuck that bitch ass stephen long at CANNABISSEEDS.com scam they screwed me and im not the first and surly not the last and if he or any one from CANNABISSEEDS.com scam wants to dispute this they know where to find me and i plan on sending then an email with a link to this post. i also post on other forums under the same name. oh yea and i know some one may comment on this but yes this is my fist post on rollitup and know it wont be my last. sorry for the lack of an update or pictures. but i will try soon.. I put one outside.. and i had great success with cloning.. I used peat pucks and a heating pad and it worked wonders.. very quick too.. I also just flipped the closet to 12/12 timing 3 days ago.. So we will see how she goes.. and I will see how the outdoor goes if it stays out there.. we'll see..

OVERALL so far vegging these were not bad at all.. for the price i'm happy with my experiement and experience gained. Plus if i get anything to smoke i'll be happy..
I'm more interested in seeing how they flower..

Stay away if your a serious grower looking for a serious strain.. mediocre..
