THC (marijuana) helps cure cancer says Harvard study

July 19, 2007

Believe it or not, a Harvard study released on April 17, 2007 shows that the active ingredient in marijuana, THC, cuts tumor growth in common lung cancer in half and significantly reduces the ability of the cancer to spread!

Researchers at Harvard tested the chemical THC in both lab and mouse studies. They say this is the first set of experiments to show that the compound, THC actually activates naturally produced receptors to fight off lung cancer. The researchers suggest that THC or other designer agents that activate these receptors might be used in a targeted fashion to treat lung cancer.

Although a medical substitute of THC, known as Marinol, has been used as an appetite stimulant for cancer patients and other similar treatments, few studies have shown that THC might have anti-tumor activity.

*HERE IS THE INTERESTING PART* The only clinical trial testing THC as a treatment against cancer growth was a recently completed British pilot study. For three weeks, researchers injected standard doses of THC into mice that had been implanted with human lung cancer cells, and found that tumors were reduced in size and weight by about 50 percent in treated animals compared to a control group. There was also about a 60 percent reduction in cancer lesions on the lungs in these mice as well as a significant reduction in protein markers associated with cancer progression.

pot is a cancer preventative and cure.. but, it would have to be put through testing and no one cares enough to put up the $100,000,000 for FDA testing. even if they did they feds have said no to the FDA having physical weed to test anyway.

we ve been testing it for thousands of years!!!!
this topic really gets me going.
its not like they were making viagra 50 years ago. they test it, stamp it and see what else happens.
what was that stuff? cannabial or something, it was tested, put out, then retracted because people were killing themselves!
how many meds can we apply this to?
the MFing breast cancer DANCE that goes on every year produces MILLIONS of dollars, use 100 dollars, buy a history book and a snack.
im not rippin you ford442, im just really frustrated about this.
1 in 2 people will get cancer. thats my partner or me, or my best friend, you know? thats scary shit. Im not happy about the general ignorance of it all.
good people are being locked up for helping patients.
thats terrible.
cancer is a business, its population control and its funded by the very people who "lead" and "help" us.
its sad.

Rick Simpson: Run From The Cure.
This guy is like a 70 year old Newfie and he makes this hash oil that will kill skin cancer, pretty much on contact. He has helped a lot of people, The Mounties didn't even charge him when they found his gigantic outdoor grow. (He reduces a couple of pounds of bud into like 3-4G of crazy fucking cure anything oil in a ricecooker). He had a whole town almost ready to riot for his cause.
Definitely check this one out

What's up? Since this summer, I have been advocating for cannabis legalization. I was introduced to the medical side of cannabis by way of that documentary you posted, Clonex. Ever since then, I have been spending multiple hours a week researching the topic and am delighted to share my blog with the folks on this forum. Check out my article on cannabinoids killing gliomas (brain tumors): http://thecannaculturist.blogspot.com/2011/08/cannabis-does-kill-brain-cells.html

apparently heavy daily MJ smokers on average have less cancer development than people who don't smoke anything.
