I have mine in a pot, so i can bring it in.
They produce alot of moisture overnite, which is just as bad as getting rained on. A makeshift canopy/leanto would be way better

I've done that for frost dozens of times. Removed in the morning soon as sun comes up. Never had a problem. I do make a small hole at the top.
