hi just bought some new plant medium whats under neath just wondering if anyone who uses this could give some advice about nutrients and feeding as i had to resort to miracle grow soil and nutes (powder form) for auto blueberry and white widow which didnt do me any favours.thanks for any comments in advance.
hey bro are you wanting to go hydro or stay in soil? going coco is basically hydro. you go to do a lot of research about coco before you dive into it. there are a couple of important things to remember when using coco. 1. when watering coco you have to feed every feeding, dont water with just water because coco is hungry for cal mag. once cal mag is full filled it will release cal mag to the plant to use. 2. some companies require rinsing coco to remove excess salts, but the nice thing about CANNA is you dont have to do that...I myself have used their product line with their COGR coco boards where i had to use a buffering agent with it and let it sit for two days and drain. my first run of coco I spent about 600$ on nutrients buying the 5 liter bottles of grow a&b and bloom a&b, rhizotonic, canna BOOST $110/ liter, cannazym, botinicares cal-mag plus, they say that there is enough cal mag in their own solution but it s not. my garden was 15 5 gallon pots in air pots.. it was very difficult and lots of problems i encountered. now i grow organic and use SUBCOOLS SUper soil recipe way easier but still have to work out the issues with each strain Hope this helps
