I use straight coco. So long as you have good drainage holes there should be no issues.I was wondering if any canna coco growers use perlite with coco? If so what ratio do you suggest? Or is the coco enough for drainage? I am about to put into 1 gallon smart pots and wasn't sure what was best thank you all...
What kind of plant you growing?I use straight coco. So long as you have good drainage holes there should be no issues.
My suggestion, if you're going to treat it like hydro feeding/watering daily, you don't need perlite. If you're treating it like soil and watering every few days, add perlite.
Also, if you're not planning to transplant out of those 1 gallon pots, I'd go bigger. I'm running a 1 gal experiment in coco and she needs watering 3x/day compared to 1x/day in 5 gallons.
Dinafem Blue Kush auto. At week 3 she required 1 quart 2x/day. At 6 weeks her pot is sitting 1 inch deep in a gallon of bubbled nutes. It gets refilled every 18-24 hours. Before I set that up, the coco would be bone dry when I got out of work and she started to show deficiencies after a couple days of that. What kind of plant you growing?
I flower in 6 in pots and only water once like every 36 hrs
A 76 degree room is what I have. You have a hot room thats what you have
