Canada has a smaller population than California. The mail volume from Canada is probably much lower than what comes in from Europe which has a population over twenty times bigger than Canada.
Yet still the largest trade relationship in the world. Canadian packages are not going to be looked at as closely as a package from NL or the UK.

Alot of that trade is oil based, and most of the other stuff doesn't travel through the USPS. I do agree packages from the UK and NL are met with a bit more scrutiny though.

Has anyone had their order seized then been able to have shipped to same address and get it with no problems the 2nd time around?

Haven't tried GCS, online have used both canadianseedbank.ca and seed-city.com (UK) a few times with no issues I've received stuff from the UK faster than buying them here, usually about 7-10 days... Offline I've bought at the Ontario Seedbank on the Lakeshore in Etobicoke, not bad but they don't always have what they list, good to call or email ahead if you're going down there.

Ya I was going to go there, or one of the other ones in Toronto. I went into my local Hydro shop though the other day and they had enough seeds from different companies that I could probably just go there, all the popular ones atleast

I try and buy here (Canada) whenever possible but the Canadian banks/shops don't always have the selection. I don't mind paying slightly higher prices but selection is not an option, if they don't have it or gouge I'll buy elsewhere. I've made a bunch and have a more going right now that I shouldn't have to buy any more seeds for a couple of years, IF I can keep from impulse buys :( There always seems to be that one strain that might cross well with... lol

Yeah, wish we had a system where we didn't have to hide out, would be great to be able to exchange clones/seeds etc. I do that with a couple of growers I've known for many years and my son. Anything else is too risky, hopefully the liberals are up to the task of pushing legalization in the next federal election, not holding my breath though, I would have stopped breathing many, many years ago - lol

Ya, I am new and hate having to worry about what's around the next corner. I just enjoy the art or growing so much, it's a shame to have to worry. I'm just lucky my wife is on board, makes it easier.
