This is a brilliant point and another sad example of an opportunity missed.A commercial for some government funded kids against drug ad came on the radio today. The only drug mentioned was marijuana... It's really irritating to hear shit like that while young people drop left and right due to fentanyl, heroin and meth. How can they ignore this dirty drug killing a large quantity of it's users? I was honestly disgusted, parents need to teach their kids the dangers of these hard drugs. Cannabis isn't going to kill them, but fentanyl sure will!
Turns out that alcohol in moderation is beneficial; up to 2-3 shots a day has been shown to extend life. Err on the low side." That " crowd doesn't acknowledge alcohols evils because they like the product themselves. Many people drink...seems quite popular eh? ...LOL. So of course mainstream society isn't going to admit they are dong the wrong thing by consuming booze. Even those who use it very little won't poo poo their own bad intoxicant usage. Alcohol is nothing more than another intoxicant. I know folks who say " oh, it's only a glass of wine ". I say in return " no, it's actually a very powerful intoxicant your ingesting " I love using that word when I speak to them about it as well. And it's a very powerful harmful intoxicant. I like telling them even the President said it was 100 times stronger than weed. And you use it. Your bad...haha
So of course the gov and drinkers aren't gonna admit it...they like it too much. Too much money to be made as well. We have a society that is based and built on booze as a life style if you choose it. They don't want the bad publicity the truth would bring. The thing that really slowed the boozers down is the drinking and driving issue....fucked by their own intoxicant. Ask a drinker if booze is a thirst quencher...then laugh n laugh n laugh. They get it when said in those terms.
It simple and it's only use it to alter the frame of mind.
Seems the only alcohol warnings we see are don't drink and drive, and even those warnings are leaning more toward driving high now.Turns out that alcohol in moderation is beneficial; up to 2-3 shots a day has been shown to extend life. Err on the low side.
Red wine has antioxidants and other beneficial compounds. Again, not a reason to pound a bottle, but a glass or two is good for you. Moderation is key, so if you don't think you can manage your consumption then it's wisest not to drink any at all.
It IS a powerful and intoxicating drug, and as such it must be treated with respect and used with care.
I'm speaking from experience; I have a DUI so I am well aware of its ability to harm- and of my own limitations.
