If there is ever a doubt between CFL's, LED's and HID for flowering, the intensity of the HID wins hands down..... LUmens, lumens and more lumens please....

Check 'em out, this is my Green Elfy and Orange Mass, that I have in the 16oz party cup comp, they're almost 4 weeks now.

Hey peeps...great thread....

Just moved to Manitoba from Vancouver Island. Gonna be startin my first indoor grow in a cpple weeks so ill post some pics once things are up and runnin........:leaf:

Welcome aboard folks... some great canadian grows happening... having spent 16 months in winnipeg... I am wondering why one leaves Van island? Some peoplesuckersforpunishment?

My wife is from MB... We moved here to get the kids closer to thier grandparents for a while.... still own my house on the island :) Ill b back... and this winter really hasnt been that bad here. Nice break from constant rain. I do MISS the smoke though, and I cant really grow outside here.
So indo we go :bigjoint:

If anyone knows where to find people to check out and help you with your grow in the lowemainland area (vancouver,surrey) in BC please respond, is there any shops you can go in and make a new friend to help you out??:peace::leaf:

Seeds showed up yesterday from Gypsy's Nirvana after only 8 days. well packaged and discreet. I will order from them again fo sho. PLUS they sent me 10 free seeds.... Skunkman's haze-x/skunk-1. Don't know how good the strain is, but free seeds are free seeds.

So I got :

  • The Church
  • Trainwreck
  • A.M.S.
  • White Rhino
  • White Widdow
And the freebees....dont know which seeds to start with...lol
Sure wish I had a hydro shop near by!!! Just waiting for my net pots and rockwool...then its go time

Right on man, Where ya from? How many seeds of each? I'd start with the Church and then go with the W.W. and W.R. for your first 2 grows then go with the sativas.
Good luck on your grows bro, if you have any probs or questions, they are more than welcome here, that is what this thread is for, Canadians helping Canadians

Wanna hook me up with a job? lol. I have some experience on a commercial tug, gill netting and a bit of trawling. Probably nothing like what you work on, but I had a lot of fun on the boat. hahahah :bigjoint:

On a growing note....

I will be cropping my first plant in 5 days or less. It's the afghan kush's time to die. :-o In about a weeks time, I will most likely crop the sativa bag seed I have too.

I have 5 healthy sprouts:

1x- The Church
1x- a Grape strain
3X- bag seed (2 known sativas and 1 known indica.)

Once I have room in my cab, their all going in!

lol well i get that alot, the positions that come up are taken before i get a chance to ask anyone man haha. not much happening till next summer on the albacore tuna fishery. it wasnt the best this year but a good fishery for an inbreaker, you dont wanna go as greenhorn at this time of year, haha it'd leave a bad taste in your mouth and a little too much saltwater in ur gumboots if you know what i mean.\

Seems like a fun thread! Plannning for my first grow to hit the lights in the next month or two. Got some great ideas for a stealth dresser. I'm in NB. Good to be here, eh?! Sub'd!

Lived all over Canada... Just moved to MB from Vancouver island but I was borne in NFLD then bounced from coast to coast.

I have 2 each of the green house seeds, 10 haze/skunk and 5 mixed Growdoc indica seeds...think ill germinate a church, a trainwreck, an a.m.s. and a growdoc indica to start.... clone the strongest and sweetest 2...


And eventhough I have done plenty o research i'm sure ill have a few questions along the way. Growing indoors on the praries is not like throwing 6 plants in the backyard on Van Isle...:leaf:

What other parts of Canada are represented in this thread? any one else here In manitoba?
