Canadians wanted a change from the conservative government, and voted the young Trudeau in thinking it would be a fresh, new beginning. instead they got scandal and corruption in a magnitude not previously seen since the last Liberal government under Chretien. TMX...SNC Lavalin...not to mention the first prime minister in history to be found guilty of a federal ethics violation.
but he did legalize pot. I've grown and smoked it for decades before it was legalized a mere six months ago. nothing has changed for me. and I'm not smoking any gov't irradiated marijuana.

From my perspective looking at Canadian politics from across the border, a conservative in Canada is a liberal in the US. Canada isn't afflicted with anything like the US South and its hordes of under-educated, hopeless, racist rednecks, crackers and hillbillies. Just one look at Canada's medical system tells all one needs to know that it is a more advanced country.

You could go to the states and pay for one too, the rest of your treatment is free. I live in NS and the health care system is having it's share of problems in this poor province, but those problems are nothing compared to what the average American has to contend with.
I believe you can also buy supplementary health insurance, just like an American

lots of people from Canada opt to go to the US for treatment. the wait times here are horrible for certain procedures. conservative governments are vilified for proposing an optional private system where you can avoid wait times and pay out of pocket for prompt medical service.
