Can you use synthetic nutes in living soil?

One easy way to tell that this is bs is to pour a bit of synthetic nutrient solution into a cup and leave it out. You'll notice bacteria growing on it pretty quick.
The whole point of living soil is to give your plant certain nutrients at certain intervals, releasing over time, not all at once.
So yeah if you randomly add concentrated synthetic liquid nutrient to your plant you're going to kill it

One easy way to tell if that guy's bs is if you read his last post

Salt base nutes will not necessarily eliminate all good bacteria & fungus (based on my experience). I use GH salt-based nutes with soil, but inoculate & otherwise encourage growth of the good stuff. I can still stand on a 5 gallon root ball, & I’m convinced the beneficials are part of that. I’m not saying the salt-based nutes are better for soil life than organic, but that they are not mutually exclusive. You can have both, to a limited degree.

And yet farmers the world over use fertilizers on their crops in soil. Sorry, but your answer is bullshit. You can pretend whatever you want though.
