Can you use Sevin on outdoor veg plants?

Exactly what the title says.. Can you?

Damn this is the second post in as many days with folks asking about this stuff. Don't use this chit on your plants, but you can if you want to. The GOVERNMENT says it is safe afterall.

So are you telling me that yes, you can use the stuff on outdoor plants that are in the ground and vegging? I just need something simple and i got it laying around.. Bugs are eating the shit out of some of my leaves, just wanna get it under control...

Sevin is a neurotoxin, it should not be used on shit.

Someone I know uses it on their strawberries and it keeps the bugs away, plus today I just ate one of said strawberries and I didnt die.. So wtf?

Sevin in the bottle is Sevin just like sevin dust (except its generally a concentrate). I use to use it in the 70-80's. I would dust everything even used for flees and ticks on animals, which is or was one of its listed uses. It will get rid of just about everything. Read about Sevin if your good with it then do it shit I'm not smoking it you are. So wtf? ???? If don't want to hear other views why even ask.
Sevin was the main line defense for most home owners for a long time. It was all my dad use on our garden shit the whole garden was a dusty white spot. And as I remember you didn't find 1 dam bug on anything.

Can you use it sure you can, you can use it if you want. Of course its not even to be used on vegetables any more. Its for lawns and ornamental. I won't even use it for that.

Oh well, i got a bug problem and its all i can get my hands on right now..

...and its not like im going to be smoking the vegging leaves of this plant.. and I'm sure when it starts budding in august I will have found some other method of keeping the bugs away without ruining my buds..

I use the Sevin Dust in Veg

I have used it in years past, but it didn't kill the bugs. Maybe if you drowned the plant in it, but insecticidal soap works as well or better, and it's much safer. I make my own with dawn dishwashing liquid and canola oil.

Yeah I put it on my Jalapeno plant and caterpillars are still eating it. But they started in on one of my Kush plants and Bye Bye caterpillars. Not 1 bite mark since. I also use this mainly as a soil application. Works well on soil....less on plants imo.

I tried the dust on some plants for japanese beetle, This stuff will not wash off the buds or leaves. Killed the bugs. I use Dish soap now.
Keep the catapillers and grass hoppers off. My main problem this time of year.
