Can you take a 1 gallon pot of soil and wash it down the utility drain in my basement??

I hear that if all that dirt you dump down there cloggs the drain, you should try adding a bag of concrete to help clear out the soil. If that doesn't work, try some mortar.

Years ago I knew these 2 girls that shared a second floor apartment. One of them had the bright idea to flush clay cat litter down the toilet. It plugged things up and it took an entire day for the plumber to get things unclogged.

paint strainer. wrap the whole rootball and wash. I haven't done it since I usually go to dwc straight from root cube but have hydrated bricks of coco with strainers. Things the strainer doesn't catch will easily drain.
