:blsmoke: yall know those little round pete pellets that expand when you pour a little water on them that are originaly used for tomato seed ( i think) do any of yall know if you can start m.j seeds in them? :peace:

of course you can. thats what they are made for. Maybe they don't make them specifically for dope but they are made to start seeds in. I have a bunch of those but i plan on using them for cloning.

I use them for all of my soil and non-hydroponic starts. For my hydroponic starts I use the rooting cubes that are like brown sponges or rockwool.

i use the jiffy pots for clones! so i didnt see why i couldnt use the pellets to start my seeds! iv got a little more exp. on growing then this other guy! but iv never started in the pellets befor and when i told him i was gonna go buy some to start my next grow he said it was a bad idea! next time i`ll just listen to my own intowishing!

I like to use the pellets for doing cloning. I think planting into soil gives you better results...I think the ph in the pellets may be low...I am going to test some runoff next time?

I use peat pellets for seedling, clones, soil or hydro. But i have started using the coco pellets instead, they seem a little cleaner but you have to go to the hydro store to get them, wait actually if you look around by all the peat pellets and little greenhouses they now have a completely biodegradable greenhouse kit with coco pellets. Either one works well.

will the roots grow through the little nets or do i need to remove them when i transplant?

The nets on what the coco pellets or the jiffy things? If your talking about the jiffy things then yea but idk that much about the coco pellets.

Transplant the peat pots with the netting still on or you can damage and tear the roots when you remove the netting. The plant's roots will grow through and rip the netting on its own as it grows.
