Can you put 150 watt MH bulb in 150 watt HPS fixture? Pics

I have 2 150 watt HPS security type lights in my grow box. Can I put 150 watt MH bulbs in the fixtures?

I am using the t-8 shop fixtures for vegging but I wonder if I could turn it up a notch by vegging under the HID light instead?

i recently bought a ballest that came with 400w mh and hps and there is no switch on to change anything so i would say yes you can but im not an electrician so dont listen to just me and burn your house down lol.
i would contact the manufacture and ask them.

Dont do it. and did you steal thoes industrial HPS lights off some warehouse? No, It willl BURN THE BULB OUT at least.

No.. Didn't steal them. Just saw them at the big box store for $75 each & grabbed em.

Funny, your about the 4th person who thought they were stolen from the side of a building laugh..

Must be a cheap source of lighting

Assuming you have a ladder, time & balls..
