It is NOT more common for a fem to hermie, males CANNOT become female, and yes you are probably drunk.

Hermie tendencies are GENETIC not caused by making feminized seeds, you CAN'T produce a female from a male it's not biologically possible.

I read a while ago about treating males with chemicals so they produce a distorted type of female flower
so that these flowers can be tested to give a better idea of the quality of males for breeding and selection of males rather than rubbing stems or going on smells etc
not found much information on it, i think its a bit of a long shot

Definitely drunk, but don't let that stop you. I guess you can do it, if you are a chemist, as linked by skunkd0c above( nice name by the way) or Dr. Frankenstein, but personally I would say no.

it was not that hard to get the chemicals when i looked into it some years ago
perhaps things have changed now
products that were sold as feminising seed soaks and other feminising products contained ethrel
folk reported to have done this male reversal thing but i have never seen any pics of it myself
if it does work i see no reason why it would be any harder than the procedure sts or whatever for
making females produce male flowers

you will not get female cuttings from a male plant but it might be possible
to make a male plant produce female flowers of some description
they maybe distorted weather these female flowers could go on to produce viable seed who knows
i think the main purpose of this if any, was to produce all male seeds for breeding and selection work
and to test males for breeding ,
folk normally select males by appearance/smell , or by crossing the male with known females
sometimes males show resin etc
being able to sample a flower from a male would give a better idea of what characteristics that given male
could bring to a cross if it also breeds true for these traits
i do not think any of this will help you though in your situation

im pretty sure the plant can go both ways with a hermie....no one ever see;s a male going hermie because most of the forum goers ditch the plants first sign of male.

no matter wether you force a plant to hermie or not the genetics are still the same in the cutting and that cutting witll be a CLONE of the parent plant. clone means exact/identical.

yeh i already told him that ^^ , its sad when folk realise their male plant is worthless to them
i guess he could smoke the leaves and get dizzy for a while but then again he could just hold his breath
sometimes i save my most thick chunky stems let them dry out .. makes a nice light piece of wood
good for hitting lippy people with, without causing too much damage/skin abrasions
not sure what else to suggest

could make edibles, may not be too potent but if you use 1oz of dry trim to 1 stick of butter you may get the shits.
