Can you harvest one stem that looks done?

Oh how i wish i had found this amazing site months ago. so i have a lovely sweet girl that's been living on my balcony now for 4 months. i live in sunny los angeles, but my (east facing) balcony only gets about 3.5 hours of direct sunlight a day. wasn't even sure if she would grow up at all, but she has. and she's pretty cute i must say. obviously, i'd do things all differently now, but at the time i wanted to see what could be grown just using what little bit of light i got from the sun.
during one of the very rare weeks that we actually get serious rain, i took my girl inside to my bathroom where i have a serious bright light and let her sit there during the rainy days, and much to my surprise she has really taken to the bathroom light and has had a second rebirth, lots of new leafs and thickening of the buds. One of the stems/ buds however, is sooooo over me and looks like it is ready to go its own way. no new anythings, and starting to feel like it's drying all on its own. can i remove the one stem prior to the rest of the plant, or will that do even more damage? Several weeks ago, i also stupidly removed some fan leaves thinking it would help get more light to the bottom buds. now i know what a fucking idiot i was. i still love my girl though, and hope i haven't just completely deflowered her. so to speak. please help a stoner actor.

I'd cut that one branch in the middle pic kinda looks like it's dyin..... my thoughts are if it looks like she's putting more energy into tryin to keep that one branch alive than making other buds as fat as they could be......snip snip
But then thats just my opinion.

thanks bozley. judging from your awesome pic you know what you're talking about. that is one gorgeous girl in your gallery. i'm jealous, and inspired.

next time around, i'll do things all differently. i think i read once that's it's better to prune or cut in the morning so it has the day to start healing.

i will have to do this to my huge bush as a complete chop would not achieve maximum yield lok how many branches there is il be chpping off the verry top buds first letting the next 1s fatten up heres a couple of pics aswell so you can see what a huge job i have in a couple of weeks there 34 days in half way there n smelling as sweet as pineapples allready peace folks keep up the good work man that plant will taste gooood

pastafarian. wow, that shit is insane. that is one fucking awesome looking girl you have. it made my jaw drop. i would be in heaven if i could grow a girl like that in my apartment. congrats, she is spectacular. it will be a little sad to take her down i imagine. (not TOO sad though). man i can't wait to start my next girl. you rock dude.
