I just harvested and as some of you know I have a drug test coming up for a good job. I haven't smoked in a month or more, but I was wondering as I harvested if the smell of the bud can get thc into your system and get you a buzz or make you show thc in a piss test. I am talking about just smelling the harvested bud. It smells really strong and I can't risk it getting into my system right now. I know this may sound dumb, but I need to know. Any of you guys know the answer to this?

Your Fine there is not THC in the smell. Wouldn't it b great if we all got high off the smell of our grow rooms.

For THC to become psychoactive it must first be activated by heat over 200 degrees F. THc is an acid before it is combusted/vaporized, which is why it is in the form of resin.

pretty sure that THC is still active before it heats up to 200C cos you can make pot liquer that still gets you high even though its cold, but thats not a definate. also theres no way in hell that you can smell a plant to get high, it just wont happen.
cheers guys

never heard of pot liquer, but alcohol DOES absorb THC, and it does change form, so this could make it psychoactive.. I have always heard of THC being put into alcohol, and then a joint/bud was dipped in it and let dry. I am not very accustomed to THC besides smoking it, eating it is a whole different subject for me. PM me with more info on this "THC liquer" it sounds good.

It's called decarboxilation, which means to cause a molecule to shed a carbon group. That's the conversion that must take place for cannabinoids to be psychoactive, and it's done by heating AFAIK. I don't understand what happens when it's dissolved in a solvent like alcohol.
