Can you clone any time?

Can you clone your plant any time you want? Also, does it matter how many leaves are on the branch when you clone?


This baby is 17 days old. I want to clone one of the red branches (3 leaves spread out and 2 babies behind)
since they're not playing a major factor in absorbing light. I'm kinda nervous about it, but I'd give cloning one of the blue branches a shot. And I simply will not do anything to the main stem (yellow) because it's still just under the size of a RockStar can.

Whatcha guys think? I have no idea if it's even ready to clone. I just wanna make a clone to flower so I can determine its sex without putting extra stress on the plant and slowing its vegging by 2 weeks.

My finger is where the bottom of the stem is and the rockstar is there for size comparison ^_^

I can't tell you the difference between an innernode (internode?) or a regular node. I just want to know if it's possible to clone any of them branches :S I get how to plant it, I just don't know how long it has to be minimum or how old the plant has to be minimum.

I wanna pull a few clones off of this plant if it's a female, I love the genes, first to sprout, fastest growing, more leaves, healthier looking, and perkier looking than all the others.
I can't do that by the time it starts showing sex D: is what I hear.

well there is nothing clonable on that plant if you dont want to cut the top off.

u want to do clone in veg but not when there a week old want till u start to get more node growth or ull kill that one

what lights are you using? looks a bit stretched

I can only speak from my first go I have not harvest yet but I would let them go and clone after veg for a couple weeks, I am not great at cloning 5 out 12 made it. My clones are about that size and I am doing research on lst now cause I feel I will get alot of chances to clone if I do that right good luck.

If you really want to clone one that small, then top it and clone it. It will benefit the plant, and you get your clone.

You can't clone a fan leaf. You need at least one node. You don't know what the genetics of this plant are yet so get a grow under your belt before complicating it.

One thing you need to grow more than anything else is patience.
