Can You Add a Drip Feed to an Existing Aeroponic System?

I am setting up an aeroponic system. Could or more to the point should i add a top drip feeder to the mix? Or is that over kill? And if its advisable to do so... would you have them feeding on offsetting times for a more continuos feed ... or simultaneously? And would you have to adjust your nutrients?

I wouldn't bother, the aero effect should be plenty. You're only going to be adding additional cost
as well as power consumption doing so. I don't think doing so would hurt anything though, might
take away from the benefits you'd get form growing aero as you'd have a drip too, but you girls would
grow just fine I'm sure. Don't think you'd have to adjust nutes, and as for timings, that would just be something
you'd have to play with and see how the plants respond to the additional feeding method.

The only reason for adding a drip feed to an aero setup would be to prevent the plants wilting while the roots grow long enough to fully utlilise the mist. The drip approach is ideal for hydroton filled netpots which dry out rapidly. Personally i find it easier to use small chunks of rockwool in the netpots and handwater from the top until the roots are established.

I use a drip system for the first 10 days than shut it off, this helps jump start the process and makes sure they have enough to drink until they break out the bottom.
