can weed be too dry?

i bet my weed is just too dry.. it smokes alright for the green hit but after that i want to start hurling.. i can take decent hits out of my foot tall zong but i want to be able to take some monster hits off my cola buds without it tasting horrible or causing me to gag. lol should i just wait and cure longer? its only been 2 weeks but i know i should be able to handle this smoke at this stage.. good flush too people organic outdoor buds. dried in 4 - 5 days with closet half open for venting at around 38-48% humidity

yea id just jar it for a while. might be that it dried too fast or had too much light hitting it while drying.

You can try or even put a few drops of water (not on the bud) inside the jar. Ive done this a time or two. But not too much.

If my stuffs too dry I sometimes toss in a piece of lemon peel for a day. re-hydrates a bit and adds a nice lemony taste

Keep in mind reintroducing moisture will stop the bud from being crumbly. But once it's dried out its dead, and it will not cure.

I had this happen and put a piece of paper towel wet with water in a bottle cap on top of the buds in the jar.
Close the jar and 24 hours later the bud was just right. Do not let any water or wet paper towel touch the buds, that is a no no.

Just remember, introducing moisture (which is humidity) can cause mold. Adding sugar is even worse. Orange peels, lemon peals, lettuce, fresh plant leaves, etc all contain sugar and this provides an additional food source for mold to feed on. Distilled water is the safest thing to introduce, but the trick to making it work is adding just enough that the relative humidity doesn't go above 70%. If you don't have a way to measure humidity, store your bud in the fridge while it rehydrates.
