CAN U USE SOIL PH meter FOR WATER???

trying to get my hands on a ph meter and it seems like the only kind u can get in my area are for soil can this be used for water applications

pet stores have ph testers normally. look in the fish area.

Can u demonstrate? Im so fed up on wasting my cash on cheapee alrernatives..i probably already wasted what i would have on a pricey one.

I just bought a real nice hanna ph meter for $35 used on ebay... its like $85 new... I lost my old one

I tried one of the $12 ones from Lowe's and compared it to a drop kit I had, and they're the same.

ebay, type "digital ph". they are like $17.50 inc p/h. they work great, can be calibrated, and include calibration solution. they do come from china (quality is fine) so 2-3 weeks shipping.
same for "digital TDS", gives you reading in EC and PPM, same price, same place.
