cAN U USE A MIRROR AS A REFLECTOR

My mirrors were free. I had to chop up an old 72" rptv to throw it away and I saved the mirrors. One of them is huge like 5'x4' or something. I'm just using the small one right now.

I'm also skeptical, but I like to experiment.

Correct answer! Mirrors (I'm talking common mirrors you'll find in a house, not front surface or dielectric mirrors) have a reflectivity of around 70% while flat white paint is closer to 90% and the flat white paint is diffusing the light. Mylar is in the low 90s%.
