Keyatokah ( i hope i got it right keeping in mind not to call you a toker ): My take of all this is that both excessive light and excessive heat have a similar negative impact. But either one alone is sufficient to cause plant stress which is mediated by converging stress pathway.
I think in many indoor grow rooms the shortage of other factors like limited nutes may enhance sensitivity to light or heat stress.
Anyway I'm a nubve grower so I can't really speak of much experience.
