Can u clone a branch that already has preflowers on it?

Ive got a few branches i want to clone from my mother plant. It just officially developed the white hairs verifying it is a female yesterday.

The branches i want to clone are large, and have preflowers at the top. If i cut and use them will they be able to root? i am putting them in a 5gal bucket, 8 site aeroponic cloner.

sure ive rooted buds before, its best to use shorter clones though cut the whole branch then trim off the top 3-5 inches or so and use that. or just use the tip

a branch snapped from the main stem from lst (oops). I want to use the top of that branch as a clone, it was one of the main colas of the plant :(

sound plausible? the branch was about 16" long, i cut the bottom 12" off and saved just the top. Trimmed off all of the huge fanleaves.

You can, the bigger the bud the longer it will take/harder it will be to do but preflowers you should not have any issues.

If you are vegging for 18+ hours and you are growing from seed, the plant will shoot out pistils if its a female cause its telling you she is mature now. Now when you clone during flowering stage, you will have to bring it back to a veg stage and it will go back to veg but goes takes time. When its done re-vegging it turns into a beast with insane side branching. I am always re-vegging, just got to have the patience and time. Do you have some pics of what you are cloning?
