1 more thing!

should the pot be bigger?? like wider or taller?
get a wider and taller one. a 1 gallon should do it well for now. And have a 3 gallon ready to transplant to before you make the flip to flower.
And no problem.

I've never had a plant flower for 20 weeks, the longest a strain has gone for me was 12 weeks, and that was my super lemon haze.
But to answer your question, the plant will stop growing vertically after the 1-3 week stretching period that it will undergo after being flipped to 12/12.

Their mostly CBD strains

How do you figure that?

It's a gallon for every foot of plant height
I highly doubt the OP will be growing a plant that exceeds 3 feet in height, especially if the OP is asking questions about light schedules.
And to be fair, I've never used a pot larger than 3.5 gallons and my plants have grown taller than 4.5' in those pots with no sign of being rootbound.

Rootbound is all in the Head.

I've seen 1 foot plants harvested out of the Ground. And 10 rooters out of 7gal... Still doesn't make the rule of thumb any different..

And any case, if you're going to give grow advice let's not half ass it people! Let's turn this guy Pro!
