Hi every1. noob here trying to figure out my nutes. right now im about 5 weeks into flowering and trying to decide whats best to use. All i have to work with right now is the fox farm trio pack and cal/mag.

The top leaves began to look pretty bad a few days ago, and i was told on here it looks like too much N and not enough of somethin else, but not sure what.

When i was looking at the front of the big bloom bottle, i noticed it reads 0.01-0.3-0.7 which is a fraction compared to all the other nute listing ive seen. Tiger bloom is 2-8-4, and grow big is 6-4-4, and calmag reads 2-0-0 which is weird to me cause 2-0-0 i would think means only N, which is what i need to stay away from.

im wondering if i should just add tiger bloom to the next watering, but i always thought big bloom must be good stuff because it tells you to use it the whole time the the fox farm feeding schedule.

I'm using FF nutes for the first time too. According to FF and my local hydro store, Big Bloom is supposed to be used thru out your entire grow. I know some folks are going to say that you shouldn't use anything the first couple of weeks or that Big Bloom is just for flowering. I'll say that I've been following FF's schedule with lowered dosages to start and so far my plants are doing fine. You're technically supposed to be using Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom together. This is directly from FF:

"Use FoxFarm Big Bloom™ in conjunction with other FoxFarm nutrients to relieve plant stress, unlock unwanted salt bonds and allow for increased nutritional flow."

It seems as if Big Bloom is like a conditioner so to speak, to help the plant prepare for flowering. Kind of like a daily bud workout. Like I said, I'm a noob to all this too, and I'm learning as I grow. Hope this helps a bit.

i think i put 4 tbl spoons of big bloom and 2-3 tsp of tiger bloom and 2 tsp calmag in 1 gallon which is heavy feeding i think and i started having problems ever since. and every one keeps telling me its a deficiency so i dont no what the hell is going on lol

smokermore, that does seem like a heavy feeding. I haven't used Tiger Bloom yet, but have heard that it's very easy to over do it. Big Bloom, on the other hand, seems a bit more forgiving since it has such low concentrations. Here is FF's feeding schedule. According to it, at max you should only be using 2 Tbsp of Big Bloom and less than 1 Tbsp of Tiger Bloom. I started with a quarter strength and my plants seem to be doing fine.

For me, Once I get pre-flower I go with a Tablespoon of each (plus a couple added specialties) and have had nothing but great results.
A lot may (probably) depend on the soil used.

Oh, and that's with every watering. I water / feed heavily, and don't water again until dried past the point that most would consider acceptable.

i have been using fox farm forever bro. During flowering you have to add big bloom along with tiger bloom not just the big bloom by its self. BIG BLOOM is more of a soil conditioner. Use every other watering as suggested but i agree with Canon cause i cheat with it every watering.
