Original Mazar won 2nd place in the 1999 High Times Cup and High Life Cup 2002. Mazar has been crossed with Afghan. With very high levels of THC (on par with White Widow), it produces a strong Indica stoned. Known in Holland for its sedative qualities. The plant is highly consistent and has a great taste. Its unobtrusive scent makes it easy to conceal and is easy on the lungs. Mazar can also be grown outdoors in warmer climates. This Afghan cross increases yield and makes an excellent resin plant.
INDOOR / OUTDOOR Indoor/greenhouse and outdoor warm climates TYPE Indica PLANT HEIGHT Short - Medium FLOWERING TIME 7-9 weeks YIELD 40-450+ g/m2 Up to 600g outdoors GROW DIFFICULTY Easy If you're also looking for seeds on sale, check out our value packs for a marijuana seeds special discount!

Not really. To begin with there was Afghan X Skunk = Mazar.

If you crossed Afghan with Mazar it would be an Afghan X Afghan-Skunk (meaning Mazar) cross most likely to increase the Afghan. It would be a cross of three genetics instead of a cross of two genetics because the initial cross created a new double/different genetic plant, Mazar.

You could argue that it would still be an Afghan – Skunk cross and basically be correct but you would not be totally correct since you would be using different genetics that would create something different than a straight Afghan – Skunk cross like the original cross to create Mazar.

You would still end up with an Afghan – Skunk cross but you would be altering the percentages of the different genetics so it would not be like duplicating the original cross of Afghan – Skunk that created Mazar.

Does that make sense?

You said your plants have a sativa-like growth pattern, more tall and thin and lanky and not bushy like an indica and what you would expect from Afghani genetics.

Well to figure that one out you would need to know what Skunk was used in the initial cross. For example Skunk #1 was a cross of Afghani indica, Acapulco Gold (Mexican Sativa) and Colombian Gold Sativa.

So what you might have is a genetic cross where original sativa genetics from the past resurfaced and are dominant. It can happen just like how two parents with brown hair whose parents both also had brown hair and their parents each had brown hair have a child with read hair because great grandad had red hair and that was in the genetics passed down and it resurfaced in that particular case.

Basically what I am saying is not all strains are stable and they can at some point or another, even in the same pack of beans, show very different traits due to what past genetics may have resurfaced and in some cases became more dominate in a particular run of beans.

I started my grow about 8 weeks ago. Some Blueberry from left over seeds last year, Mix of Premium Outdoor seeds and the freebie Mazar x Afghan. Just like you I"m getting some M x A that are totally skinny leaves and really senstitive to ferts. The othere M x A looks like what i'm seeing in pics where the leaves are a little fatter and growth is awesome. I guess the seeds are unstable...which makes me question the place that sold them. Why give away unstable genetics? Any how...I rteally like the look of the plant...strong healthy and growing almost too fast. I'm growing all outdoors. I also just bought some Lowryder 2 and they're in the hardening off process....but growing quickly. They really do like light.

I'll post some pics soon. Anyone know how any of these above finalize and taste etc.?
