Can someone explain? Is this an issue? My first dwc.....

So I changed my reservoir on 3/27. Since then my ppm has dropped by 900-1000ppm. The ph has risen up to 6.0/6.1. Is my lady really sucking up nutes this fast? I've just finished day 21 since 12/12 flip. She's showing no signs of problems and is super bushy with buds starting everywhere. Is it normal for the ppm to drop so drastically so fast? Like I said, she's not showing any problems but I don't want one in the near future. Anyone have any experience with this before or know what's going on? Thanks!

Oh ok 3 wks 12/12....sorry. Ya shes eating alot and gonna start flowering like crazy, check ppms daily to keep her full. Is it just 1 plant in the res?

Yes, one plant. I've never heard of the ppm dropping so fast. We shall see. Ill keep juicing her up and see if she is willing to go to the edge.

I upped it to approx 1400 when I changed reservoirs. Also, my roots are filling the 5 gallon bucket to the point that it may be a problem by the end of flowering, if not before. Will the root growth slow down during flower?

I have found that the ph goes up a fair amount (into the 6s) each day for the first 3 days or so after a res change then levels out (usually around 5.7 to 5.6 depending on nute level). I have never had the ppm drop that much but some early on. When you get to the high ppms (like 1800+) it will instead go high. So I just add some regular water to even it out. After the 3 days it is pretty easy, just add some water each day and it seems to come out perfect. Mine is almost done and now one plant drinks an entire gallon of water a day.

It may be that it is ready for more nutes. But the plant looks a bit yellow in this pic. I use the schedule at the Heavy 16 nute site since that is what i use. Week 4 is up to 1300 to 1600. What are you at?

I would also test your meter to make sure it is not toast.

My roots are like 10 feet long at this point, its fine.

OOYA! just look at the flowers its producing man! She'll suck it up really well for the next week or two then slow down. The light green tells me she needs nitro. Looks like a real nutrient hog type strain. I would run her on a 1:1:1 ratio by looking at her.

Feed her and she will produce nicely!

It's a real heavy sativa critical jack. It's a clone from my last soil run. That plant is my avatar. She went for 12 weeks but there's noway this bucket is big enough to hold roots if they grow until end. The roots are massive already! She is a little light green but I ran veg nutes into flower. Changed to flower nutes on first change after 12/12 flip, roughly 4 days. So I should add veg nutes while flowering?

How much water did she drink between change and top off? Judging by the pic, she's done growing and moving on to the next phase...bloom,meaning your roots won't grow much if any. Nice canopy bro,I like the dwc beast sitting next to the lil soil plants haha....hydro is the way to go!

Yes it is! I'm definitely throwing all of the soil stuff out come May/June when I move. I'm more than impressed with her so far. She looks a million times better than her mother plant. But those soil plants are behind her time wise. I had to move them on into flower due to time constraints.

as long as your pumping oxygen between the roots she'll b fine. What nutes r u running??

If I top it off when there's about 1 gallon left. But that's before the week is over. I change weekly and use a sanitized bucket with a fresh mix.

I never understood why indoor growers play in the dirt. Guess they haven't grown hydro before

Exactly! I'm a true believer now. This is simple, cleaner than soil and much better results so far. I'm shooting for 4-8oz and she should produce that easily. And faster than the soil could've.
