Can leaf under curling be cause by undergrowth lighting?

Question is the same as in my topic, can fan leaves bend down in order to get more light from a closer under growth light if the side light is emitting more than the light above it?

Best way I can describe it is that it looks as if a "fag hand" you know when fags hang hold their arm up and hang their hand down? except its not unhealthy lol the plant is fine - it just seems a couple fan leaves bent down and reached for the side light rather than reached up for the light above it.

Please dont say "its over watering or under watering" I am not a retard - its neither one - this has been going on for a while and it started after i switched my lights around.

If its not going to have any negative effects on my plant I dont really care lol I was just concerned at its look. Looks sad but healthy as a horse lol ps is like 2 months into flowering.

Well, with out a photo you are just going to get guess's. But I think you are not the brilliant grower you think you are. Your plant is 2 months into growing and is miserable and unhappy, when it should almost be ready to hand over all it's fruits to you.
And no. Plants leafs will not try and curve upside down to get to a lower light, unless that is the only light. At least it has not happened in any of my crops with close side lighting.
If you want a true answer to your question. Then give a photo and more information on the grow conditions. And be open to what people suggest, and not shut out advice before it is given.

Edit: I have to say though. That is a nice Ghetto DIY CFL reflector. Kind of dangerous. But effective

That's what I've got going on because ALL I have is a side light that one has now over grown. They are bending to get it, they think it is evening all day on the top is my guess.

And if your 2 months in. Who cares?? You should be harvesting next week at the latest.

To be real, I sat here and wrote out a something real sweet for you but honestly I think you're too stupid to read through and pick out the points I am trying to make. I am going to simplify this to the point where you could understand it.

1. I asked a very simple question that could have been answered by a simple yes or no based off of experience.

2. Its obvious to me that you have no knowledge on the subject I am asking about and you are also obviously not educated on botany or agriculture in any way, shape or form. Instead of answering a simple question (thank you Finishaggy) you went into a detailed troll rage trying to insult me personally when you have absolutely no idea who I am or what I have accomplished.

3. Based off of a simple question of "
can fan leaves bend down in order to get more light from a closer under growth light if the side light is emitting more than the light above it" into a reason for you to go off on a "my dick is so small I have to try to embarrass or call out somebody today" fit. Cool dude, very mature and professional - I'd believe you know what your talking about now, you've proven your intellect to me.

4. Suck my nuts. If you think for a second you can open up a thread and be so insulting and condescending to somebody asking a simple question then you are out of your mind. I dont give a shit if you're the owner of rollitup.org - Fuck you. You're obviously a piece of shit with no friends other than your plants.

5. Nothing informative came from your rage post. Epicly useless information repeated by every wanna-be grower on this forum. "Post your temps, humidity, PH of your soil, PH of the run off water, the ventilation you have, your address, phone number, amount of plants, real name, mothers maiden name?" I dont care to answer any of your questions because the question I am asking has absolutely nothing to do with any of that - and if you had the slightest bit of common sense you would be able to put 2+2 together and get 4.

Just to clarify here - Thank you Finishaggy for answering my question with a simple answer based off of experience, it was refreshing and a very quick response. The reason I was wondering was because although I have completely lined the corners, seams and doors with aluminum and then tented the entire thing to light seal it 150% - I understand from previous experience that fan leaves can do a SIMILAR thing when stretching for light leaks during a night cycle that come from the floor or any other lower part of the box.

As for dangly's edit about my reflector - Its called a DYI Project - Its a simple, cost effective way to turn your recycled materials into something that will benefit your grow room. With proper ventilation and 1/8" x 10+ vent holes poked into the light, heat is dispersed without any risk of damage to the bulb or any type of fire hazard - get over yourself.

Before you make an epic ass hole out of yourself you shold try doing it first. Been using this technique for years and was kind enough to come help the DYIers on rollitup.org by sharing my information.

Dangly do yourself and everybody else a favor and stop posting on my topics, you have proven yourself to be one of the most retarded and confrontational nerds that I have ever seen troll a forum in my life - therefor nothing of use could ever obtained by your nonsense bullshit.

My strain as per the instructions says 9-11 weeks, which means I am going to be harvesting some time within 1-3 weeks. In 1 to 3 weeks it is possble if left unnoticed that due to light leaks the plant will turn hermi - therefor produce male sacks and pollinate itself. Id like to avoid this at all costs which is why I asked - I would rather lose a couple hours of direct light while I make sure to seal the light leak then to find out all of my buds not only have seeds but parts of the plant are male and I have to completely take apart my grow room and scrub everything down to get the pollen out of it.

Thats why I am amazed at this retard Dangly's epic rage post - he talks shit when he has no idea wtf hes doing or talking about. I asked a simple question and got a simple answer from you Finishaggy - but he wanted to go on some fit like he was Gods gift lol Fuck him but thank you.

Ok here is a real short answer your little mind might rap around. NO, your plant will not do that. And what the hell is up with you talking about fag hands, the size of your DICK and sucking your NUTS? Who they hell brought up any of those subjects other then you. Grow up and move into the 21st century. The reason why I said you might not be as brilliant of a grower as you think you are. Is you are fresh and green at this and are all ready dismissing suggestions before they are even given. So many times a new grower thinks he knows something, when in fact he/she is way off base. So keep on the track you are and see how things go.

And what is up with you going hells bent on me for saying that was a nice home made reflector you had made. Even though it is dangerous to make. See, some people have trouble handleing sharp and flimsy objects. And soda cans are pretty dam sharp and flimsy after you cut them. So maybe step back and breath, and everything might be ok.

No problem. I just noticed that I had experienced something very similar. I didn't know that they had plants that bloomed that late. Is it supposed a bigger yield, or danker plant, or just unlucky schedule?

Some people on Roll it up just want to be dicks. I can see why he asked about Ph and all that, some people like to think out any solution for any problem it may be, but agreed, it did not need to turn into hate. And especially about a picture. Some people don't have constant access to cameras, I don't. I was using my phone, and now that won't even send to a comp.

#1. I have gotten over 19 pms so far verifying that plants fan leaves will bend toward a side light if the side light is closer then the light above the leaf. You are wrong. Once again you came back to embarrass yourself again by posting retarded things.

#2. Its a DIY project - when you craft anything, especially out of razor sharp cans, you must use caution. Caution that I told everybody to use not once, not twice but over 15 times in my DIY project post. If you are one of those unfortunate people who cant handle sharp object or have trouble doing things yourself then I have a simple solution man - Stop DIYing and pay money for a professionally built reflector.

#3. What is funny to me is that I can probably bet I have more growing experience than you, yet you are so quick to jump onto somebodies back to try and prove your manhood.

You are pathetic. Trust me bud, I have much more agricultural experience than you, from childhood alone - put aside my schooling to become an agricultural engineer lol. On the other hand, Yeah - I am relatively new to growing cannabis, I am a couple years deep. I have had multiple successful grows since I have gotten my card - and countless numbers of gardens throughout my life - I just tore mine up outside yesterday.

Unlike you, I dont need to troll a forum and try to talk shit telling people "I hate [insert here]" Nobody cares what you hate, but since we are on the subject would you like to know what I hate? I hate retarded nerds who troll forum posts trying to call people out and talk shit about things they dont know. I hate people who after being shut down and epicly embarrassed still come back for more - as they post more retarded shit trying to support a delusion that you know is bullshit.

Kiddo, like I said - You are the almighty master of growing, everyone should take advice from you. Nobody should ever handle sharp objects and if you do a project that involves sharp objects its obviously dangerous. Are you done? Did you prove what you came here to prove?

PS: The idea of being able to DIY with sharp dangerous materials is a common sense decision that one must make themselves when confronted with the issue. I would hope that anybody who has issues handling sharp objects would not only recognize this but also take measures to prevent it from happening.

But just to shout this out there dipshit - If you are handling an aluminum can and you arent comfortable with your own grip and precise handling - Wear a pair of gloves.

U done?

Well Finishaggy, there are many reasons of why a plant will take longer to flowers - sometimes it is not limited to strain. Strain and genetics have a lot to do with the process because different strains grow in many different conditions. Just as a slight example of why flowering could potentially take longer I will explain my situation. Right now I am growing 3 plants from seeds that I found in a bag of "Sour D" a couple years before I moved to CA. I found them in my little stash when I got here and saved them hoping they were still good. Sure enough they are and they stink like rotten skunk shit. I also have 3 other clones of White Widow that I got from my dispensary. I dont know the ideal conditions for the random strain, so I did some guess work and just left it at the 75-80 range. Cannabis plants can be exposed to extreme temperature variations, however, it is not advisable for cannabis plants to be exposed to such extreme temperature variations since this can cause the chemical processes of the plants to slow down.

I am sure many issues can also slow down growth and the flowering cycle, topping, lsting and many many more things you can do to max your yield.

As for your pics comment, I agree fully. On top of not having the camera on hand around my neck or wrist, I dont like to post pics of my grow on the internet unless absolutely neccessary. In case these kids on here dont understand, just because you have a card doesnt mean you are safe. Although legal in CA and a couple other states, it is still federally illegal in the U.S. I grow for myself, I dont grow for a dispensary or to sell to anybody. Call me selfish. I've tried pain killers, I've tried all types of medications to help me sleep - nothing works. What does work? A huge bowl pack of some slightly later harvested nuggets. The type that is packed with brown tric's and could knock out a horse. I grow my nuggets to my own specifications and have been doing so for a while - I dont think my shit should be anyones business and I also dont think anybody on here has the right to get an attitude with somebody who doesnt want to send them a picture. A very simple way of diagnosing a problem for somebody who cant post a picture is to #1. dont post at all, close the thread and move on, or #2. Link them to a site that will describe to them some common issues regarding plant problems so they can hopefully self diagnose.

I would never get an attitude with somebody for not having a picture or for putting up a DIY project that works with "sharp edges" and is "dangerous"....
