Can Immature weed cause a bad high?

I cut a branch off my plants a few weeks early, say around 6 weeks instead of 8 weeks. I had an extremely bad high last night after smoking some of it so i was wondering if it could be due to the lack of the full cannabinoid range in it compared to mature weed? I know certain cannabinoids counteract certain effects of THC etc

Can you elaborate on how you felt? When trichomes are young they are full of cellulose not resin and that could result in no high to a not pleasant high. Similar to how unripe fruit is distasteful.

I honestly do not know how to explain it. But the feeling made me not want to smoke ever again. Its happened before, but its a wierd feeling where everything feels disoriented and I cant think and I just feel extremely out of it. Almost like a panic attack, except without it being a panic attack, just an hour and a half of feeling like death

We're you smoking fertalizer? Empty stomach? Alcohol? First stoning of the day?
If you like, I could test it out for you.....unless its mold!

Yeah mate, that's sound to me like a bad batch, I sometimes get weed that makes feel like that from my dealer in the dry season. It's takes me forever to smoke cause it shit, but sometimes desperate times call for desperate measures.;)

and you're certain it wasn't a THC type of high that wasn't dampened with CBD? What strain?
Thats what im trying to figure out. I just cut the plant so i am going to try the mature version of it and see if it comes back, im honestly scared to do so but ive gotta try.

As for everyone else, thanks for the comments

Sounds like you aren't a prolific smoker....and perhaps smoking a heavier sativa maybe just an early hybrid..panic attacks, sweaty palms, tingling scalp etc and well stimulant like side effects are very common..with that being said I've never really had a bad high, I've definitely been too high though so perhaps tone it down a bit and try again if it is a sativa and let it amber..but they wouldn't make you disoriented and unable to think, as you say you felt. Usually quite the opposite.......
My 2¢

Doesn't harvesting early result in an extra-cerebral high? So if it was a thc strain, it would be extra-extra cerebral? "Are You Experienced?" i.e. A lot of folks freak out on high levels of thc, disoriented, panic attack, heart racing, thoughts are too abstract. More women than men I find. If I were to guess, which I suppose I am doing; I'd say you just had a little bit too much under-ripe thc. I feel like RIU has lost the art of the early and late harvest; that used to be a big topic of conversation back in the '09s

It may be just that, been smoking for about 8 years so its not that I am not seasoned, but I always have preferred Indica to Sativa. Once I try the batch, im throwing up another Indica. Indicas havent ever done me wrong. Thanks everyone for the replies!
