Can i use this Meanwell CC+CV+CP driver for leds?

Hello,


Can i use this meanwell driver for lets say 150-200watt led strips@24v?
Normaly 320v could do this, but this driver has CC-CP-CV, so does that mean it cant go lower
then 320watt because power is constant?

That is a "B" version driver. Add a dimmer (1-10vdc, PWM, or resistance) and you can adjust current between about 10% to 100% of the drivers capacity.

Leave the dim+ and dim- leads capped individually without a dimmer and the driver will run at its full current.
 
Thanks, looks like i gotta be carefull with an oversized driver.
I always thought that drivers simply deliver what the end user asks (so led strips as let say 150watt, then driver delivers)

If i have a non C.C C.P or C.V driver, wil it automaticly deliver the right amount of power to my strips?

At 94% still efficient enough , yet much cooler.
Or do i miss somehting in this datasheet?
It also mentions Constant current mode, is there a way to turn this mode off? and why its good to have?

The efficiency % is not quite that high. You will also want to refer to the Efficiency vs Load Graph. Are you running on 230 volts AC?
 
230v AC, but also would like to know if about this constant current/voltage/power mode thing.
Does sound different then other Drivers im used to.
 
Here is 1 of 4 videos that should give you a little more info on the drivers...they should run one after the other.

You can't flip a switch and turn constant current mode off. The constant current region is approximately 12 to 24 volts. HLG "A" and "AB" versions can operate outside this region if the voltage of the wired boards/strips exceeds the upper CC region number. The "B" versions will output the CC region voltage and no more.
