can i use subcools supersoil without waiting?

so, subcool says that after you mix all the ingredients together, you're supposed to get them wet and let them sit in a trashcan for at least 30 days. I'm wondering if there would be any problem with using the mix right away, without waiting the 30 days? anybody here have any experience with this?

The SS is way too hot at first. Your plants will burn. Waiting longer allows the microbes to lock up much of the available nutes, allowing them to fee these same nutes to the plant when the plant says so. In truth waiting 6 weeks would be even better. Don't be afraid to flip the soil, especially if it starts smelling

thanks for the reply's so far. I definitely plan on using it after waiting the 30 days or more, not for my next grow but for the one after that. but I'm about to start my next round of flowering (in hempy buckets) in 1-2 weeks and was ALSO hoping i could mix up some super soil now and transplant the mother into it so she can flower next to her hempy clones, but since i haven't even mixed any ss yet i guess that won't be possible as it would burn her. still would like to hear more input from others though, maybe someone that has actually tried it... maybe even subcool himself?

There are many threads here. All give warnings about burn. What aspect of this are you not sure of? The fact that your plants will burn or the fact that your plants will burn?

i've tried searching and i didn't find an answer to this question until your reply. thanks for the input, it's helpful, but there's no need to be a dick when i ask for more input. im not saying that i don't believe you, i just like to hear from multiple people

i used it after it sat about 2 weeks and my plants exploded once they hit the supersoil. I added about 5 gallons of water and mixed it again after a week. I mixed it one last time right before i put it in the buckets. not ideal but everything was fine.

Compassionate, you want a certain answer and you keep asking until you find someone who gives the answer you want. I'm sure you'll find someone that says go ahead. Why not save yourself the time and try planting in straight hot SS and report back?

The soil was never designed to plant directly into. You mix and let cool as the micro-life breaks things down and prepares them. Then you place the still-hot SS on the bottom half or so of the pail. Then your base soil on top.

And then ONLY plant a 2 week old plant (or older) into this prepared pail. The system works great as designed. Many people have written so. The hot SS will burn roots, especially young roots. Many people have written so

wow rrog you're really a prick., I never came looking for a "certain answer," I simply wanted to hear the general consensus. that requires hearing from MORE THAN JUST YOU. please take your attitude and get out of my thread now, i've already heard your input. your first post in this thread was helpful and informative, and that was all that was needed. since then you have added nothing to the discussion except your pointless sarcastic jabs, and made it clear that you don't like the fact that i am trying to get an overall consensus. apparently you would prefer that i blindly take 1 persons advice without hearing from anyone else, as if you are the be all end all god of growing. too bad so sad, 1 persons advice isn't good enough for me.

if many people have written the same thing, then that's what i want to hear. FROM MANY PEOPLE!! not from just 1. that's all i was asking for

to everyone else who replied, thank you for the additional input. according to chongs buddy and swiggy, the mix could be used after only 2 weeks, so i could still go ahead and try it for my next grow if I wanted. but since this strain is a pretty nute sensitive one i'm going to hold off and wait til the next grow

wow sub. thanks, that's all i was asking for

and for the record I was never arguing with anyone. I never said he was wrong about anything. If I did argue or say he was wrong then please, quote it for me.
I simply asked for more input, i don't understand the reason for all the hostility

i guarantee if you always listened to the first piece of advice you were given, without asking around for other peoples opinions, you wouldn't get far as a grower. there's really nothing wrong with asking for more input

dude your growin bud its just a plant, no one knows what works best for your plants in your environment. Who knows MAYBE you strain could handle a hot soil, doubtful but possible. Why not just try it out on one plant and see what happens. Searching on the interent for an answer on YOUR grow is impossible. Some people grow chronic buds in all sorts of manners, some I don't even agree with but you know what it works for them. See what works for you, the only real way to find out if something is good is to try then fail then try again.

I transplanted 3 semi root bounded plants the other day, they were in 3 gallons, I put them directly into hot soil (I put a MINI buffer zone with wormcastings, still half the roots were directly in contact with the hot soil), and they exploded! Finally the growth I was waiting for!! Now they are flowering and I cross my finger everything goes smoothly...
