Can i use perlite in a Ebb n Flow tub?

I'm done with soil and having to worry about the pots drying out to much when i leave
for 3 days. FUCK SOIL!

So i'm going ebb n flow.

Can i use perlite instead of the clay pelletsin my tub ?

I know you can use it for a hempy but i haven't heard of it for ebb.

I never tried it, seems like it would be ok but I like Hydroton the best. Provides just the right amount of air/water to the roots.

i take it you have done it this way how many times and for how long should i flood my tubs? if you don't mind
