Lumens are a photometric measurement for the human eye and have nothing
at all to do with plant growth.
Radiometric terms are what matter, they are measured in Watts per Meter Square.
Lumens is a number determining the number of photons in a givin area where
the spectrum of the photon is weighted according to how sensitive the human
eye is to it... The most sensitive colors to the human eye happen to be the most
ineffective colors to the plant detection, meaning a high lumen rated bulb is in
the complete WRONG spectrum for plant growth, not saying it wont work
cuz look at all these retards growing with HPS....
If I listened to every Tom, Dick, and Jane on here, I'd never get the excellent quality bud that I get, Time and time and time again.
Most of people on RIU that grow, are full of shit & don't have the faintest idea on what the hell their doing.
From what I've seen on here in the last 18 months that I've been on here.
There's only about 10 people on here that really know what their doing and give great advice.
I'm not gonna mention anyones name either.
But I will say that there used to be alot more people on here that knew what they were doing.
Probably more so before I even joined.
There's just too many people on here that don't have the same passion as some as us do when it comes to growing.
It's getting harder and harder to tell anyone advice or start a thread without being insulted or flamed.
Which I believe has driven alot of the good folks out.
Growing great bud and getting the word out is all that matters here.
