Can i use MacroPlugs to start seeds???

I was in the hydro store looking for 1 x 1 rockwool cubes and they were all out. The girl told me I could use the MacroPlugs instead but now that I look, I can only see Macroplugs being used for cuttings and clones. Did this bitch steer me wrong?

You can use practically use anything for a medium when starting out.
I've seen people use cotton, sponges, rocks, clay pellets, shredded rockwool, coco plugs, jiffy pellets, and much more.

Most people at those hydrostores will try and get you to buy the most expensive crap on their shelves.
It helps to do your homework before going there to buy something.
