CAN I USE AN AC AS AN INTAKE I GOT 3 400WATT LIGHTS WITH AC HOODS BUT I HAVENT GOT AN INLINE FAN TO COOL EM DOWN SO I USE THE AC BUT CAN IT BE AN INTAKE FROM THE AIR IT BLOWS STUPID I KNO :wall:

Don't understand your post but...

If you use cool a/c air from the supply, you will be wasting cool air on the lights, don't know if 60 degree air blowing on it will hurt the lights, but if its the home ac then the fan will have to be set on which will increase cooling bills and humidty.

If you use the return, the only diff is the air will be room temp cooling the lights.

If using a window unit, if drawing air in it, turn off compressor, use fan only.
Same goes if you are using it to blow across the lights, however high suction pressures and overhating won't be an issue, so you can run the cooling if you want to waste energy.
