Can I top a mature clone

Can I top a mature clone, already has alternating nodes. I need to know if i can top it back at an earlier node where there is 2 leaves. thanks for any help. first grow clone given to me by friend and want to lst as grow closet 2x2 by 3ft tall.

if your going to plant the topping try to keep a node on the bottom

Thanks for the advice will feel happier about taking some of the top of now didn't want to kill or over stress the little girl. Might start a grow thread once all is ok. using 200watts of led but will supplement with cfl as led not as good during flowering.

Well the girls been topped hope she'll be ok will know in a few days. when the shock has worn off and she's growing again hopefully with 2 shoots instead of one main cola then i can lst them horizontally.

she well and truly was fine with a major topping ended up with about 9 shoots now started a growlog g-force led closet grow don't know how to link to it
