Hey there quick question for you guys . Can I tap into my furnace exhaust ducting ( that goes outdoors) in order to exhaust a drying rooms stinky humid air or will that stinky humid air go back into the furnace?

Why I'm asking is because I have 2 exhuast holes that I can tap into the laundry ducting but it's only 4 inches and the furnace exhuast that is 6 inches and I am renting and d ont want to make any extra holes in the house so I want to tap into 1 of these 2 already existing exhuast ducts in order to allow me to exhuast the drying rooms air .

Any suggestions thank you

No. You risk carbon monoxide poisoning if you do that. Unless its summertime where you are at right now.
Thank you for the response now I know . Would You recommended I exhuast through the laundry dryer ducting then?

I was considering getting a 4 inch v duct with a dampner that opens and closes depending when there is exhuast in order to prevent the stinky humid mj air going back up into the laundry drying machine...

^^ I was going to suggest just that. A 4" duct with an inline fan be it 4" or 6" will move a considerable amount of air, especially if its forced. You'll be fine with just a 4" duct for what you're trying to do, well unless you're trying to vent a 800 square foot room through it. I'm assuming your drying area is somewhat small?

No that's the thing my drying rooms are 10 x 12 & 10 x 8 . Im sucking the air out of the 10x8 room into the 10 x 12 room through a 6 inch duct using a fat max 6 inch vortex fan and blowing it through a filter .

Then ,in the 10x12 room I've got another 6 inch fat max vortex fan sucking through a filter then blowing through a O2 generator then outside through the 4 inch dryer hole , my wife wants to use the drying machine and I need to dry my mj lol...

if I did get the 4 inch v would it be possible to use the drying machine and exhuast my mj drying room or would that be to much forced air to travel through a 4 inch hole ?

You didn't say all that. I thought you were pushing a little air out of a little bathroom in the basement or something....hmmmm...this changes things. @Dr. Who is right...REBOOT.

If all you're trying to do is move the air from your drying room outside through the dryer vent, there's nothing wrong with that other than you risk smell going outside. Stay away from the HVAC vent though, that could cause issues. To do that get a 4" Y adapter (not T where it's a 90 degree) and hookup into the existing dryer vent. If you're concerned about smell going outside you could put a filter with an inline fan to suck the air outside through the filter. A small 4" inline "booster fan" would make sure the air is sucked outside and just turn it on when you're drying if smell isn't a concern.

Reboot ?? I did just find a vent in the crawl space the house uses to be breathe through not the most ideal location as its pointing at the neighbours place but it doesn't involve me tapping into any existing ducting and its 6inch direct exhuast to the outdoors .

What you think ?

How about you get a cpl of dehumidifiers and set them to 55% RH and have a cpl of fans circulate the air inside the rooms.
You now do not require exhausting the air.

Can't afford 2? (I have a hard time believing that with drying rooms (plural) bigger then most grow in!)
Ok then just buy 1 as big as you can get and simply cycle the air between the 2 rooms. Be sure to have some kind of way to circulate the air around the buds as evenly as possible and again it should be set to 55% RH (you could even do a better progressive RH drop for a proper long dry before the cure. 4 days at 65% to 4 days at 60% to 55% for a cpl and 50% till the stems crack and not bend if needed.)

Just my 2 cents (solid copper too!)

if your scrubbing it twice like you posted, u can exhaust it in your house for heat, dryer vent, chimney, attic....where ever you want.

no filter? You could blow it anywhere you want with one.
Got 2 filters exhausting and a O2 generator and I got a filter scrubbing

I have 2 dehums I just prefer to do a cool dry for 5 days using my exhuast to maintain the drying temp , then only on the last day I turn on the dehums , the product holds in the smell better the less you use a dehum and the colours and crystals come out more aswell , I highly recommended everyone try a cool dry once you will see the difference in your product.

Also My mj is so stinky I have to exhuast and use a O2 generator , I even sometimes use ONA gel aswell to mask the smell of the exhausting air .

I'm going to use the vent I found for now on the side of the house , the chimney would be the best option however I still worry about smell even though I have a triple filtration process along with O2 generator just cause my stuff reeks so much and me climbing on the roof and smelling my chimney would look very strange to my neighbours

I usually stink my house up when I dry. This is the first run I'm scrubbing my drying room.

If your stuff is that smelly, u might just have to make due until you get them jarred up. Scrubbers and gel should do the trick I'd think, but I've never seen that much fresh bud in my life, let alone imagine what it smells like.

Sitting tight and crossing fingers has worked for me so far. That was with NO scrubbing in a townhouse. (Neighbors must have thought I was partying.)

Even if a little dank squeaks out, who's house doesn't smell like bud now and again. Maybe walk outside like your outraged and seeking the culprit?

What I have learned is you attack the smell in 3 different ways , 1 carbon filters does about 80^% of the job but there will always be some smell , then 2 you do O2 generator to add that extra oxygen atom and give it the Lightning smell and then 3 to not piss of your neighbours by having o2 lightning smell with a tange of mj perforating through there evening home dinner you instal a filter with ONA gel at the final point of exit to give that fresh laundry smell.

i don't have any room for error when Jehovah's knock on my door I don't open it but I walk around the back that is still my concern and i will attack the interior smell by building a bubble within a bubble and the middle between the 2 bubbles will be the change room that is being filter ad exhausted only then will I feel ok to open the front door to Jehovah's . Maybe lol

Its a bit judgmental, but I wouldn't get too involved with them if they come knocking. A buddy to journey with could be great.

God is good.

Dry those buds up right homie. :)
